yeah, there was an upgrade to it a few years ago (or it was rebuilt) and it put a cap on the number of users (capacity) that could connect to it. Since then, I've stopped using EE's IRC and I've directed folks to use irc.scourge.se:6667

I was always able to log in despite that cap until just a few months ago.

The ee/evo IRC server had features scourge doesn't like tournament and alpha server news feeds. This was helpful and sometimes essential.
