oh and watch out for the red mud - there was a rain delay so they raced on monday - the fields around the track were mud - i had to throw away my jeans it was so bad.

Martinsville? I apologize for anyone that loves that track, but I always found it a boring race to watch. Bristol is where it's at.

i usually try to make it to dega, the 600, and homestead every year. sometimes i go to others.

I'd settle for being able to watch a race or two on TV. D*** work schedule messes up watching racing for me. If NASCAR were easy, bad F1 and IndyCar drivers would dominate. *looks around at all the non-F1/IndyCar drivers*

Hey, Montoya isn't doing TOO badly. I still don't like the fact that he sold out, though.

Granted, he left F1 under rather a cloud after that mishap at Indianapolis when he wrecked his teammate (not really sure if it was his fault or not, but he certainly got the blame for it), so I suppose he had to go SOMEWHERE...

tony was a indy champ and has won a few NASCAR champs, hes the exception however

Texas Motor Speedway today was alright. Besides the fact that thank gawd that fluffface busch did not win again! Carl Edward's got sick in his car from some beans/rice dish his mom made him, and a nice wreak (sorta impressive). Pit row was just a mess....

Man, I been a mark Martin fan for 20+ years

classiest driver in the sport. I was crushed when he lest rousch and was a little happy when he signed a limited schedule with DEI. I was elated when he signed that contract with hendrick, the dominant team in the sport. Insanely pissed off when they started stealing his teams engineers to try to make that worthless Dale jr better, and was pretty wtfish when he lost his crew cheif as well in that 3 team swap.

I have no idea what he's going to do next year when Kasey Kane takes over the #5 car and mark is out of a ride. It will be a sad day for the sport when he retires.

Oh, and I've been to the last 14 Coca-Cola 600s in a row, already have my tickets for this years, and I had tickets to this years Daytona 500 but I sold them with the news of my wife's pregnacy. I think I'll try to make it to Hallowdega this year but not anything else. Gotta watch them finances.

dude, that was massive news. Kane left RPM and signed a contract with Hendrick, but had no car for the 2011 season. And with the 4 car limit Hendrick couldn't make a new team. The Red Bull Racing team jumped at the chance to have Kane if only for one year.

So unless Mark finds someone to pick him up for next year, he will not have a ride, and i doubt any car he gets will be as good as that #5 Hendrick team. Even with all the gutting that has been done to attempt to make Dale Junior better, its still an amazing ride.
