[SUG] Make ads on mobile less intrusive

Right now on mobile, if you are navigating the website or even posting on the forums, these full screen ads pop up that you have to click out of. They pop up every few screens and are REALLY annoying.

The desktop experience doesn't have this intrusive user experience with ads - in fact I barely notice them at all.

Is there any way to make the user experience when navigating the site less painful when it comes to ads?

What he said or use a different browser or pop up blocker. I have played mobile only going on a decade now and I recommend the premium at this point

Primeval that doesn't address what I said. The disparity in intrusiveness between desktop and mobile is massive. In desktop it's not that big of a deal.

On mobile it's crippling. Are you saying this is by design to encourage purchase of premium?

I think it changed a few years back - presumably it's the ad framework API's that have changed for mobile (presumably google, I think they do these full page mobile ads on a lot of sites). I believe this did come up as a complaint at the time, but wasn't a change on the EE side.

I don't know what's changed recently but now the ads are intrusive on Desktop too. This must have happened within the last few days.

At least now it's equally intrusive on both platforms. Before it was just Mobile that was disproportionately impacted.

We didn't make any updates to ads on our side. I don't have any idea how that integration works so I can't personally look into it.

I would buy Patron if I could, but I can't!

I did buy Premium though. So I'm not quite a Poor, but I'm not an Elite either. I'm EE middle class.
