In my cash start, I recommended always building ent:res in about a 10:9 ratio. I've seen others recommend a 11:10 ratio but they're both close enough for me. In an attempt to keep my start simple, I left out one small detail that is likely insignificant. When building my first 100-140 acres (depending when I log in), I build 100% ent zones and CS until a little over half of my land is built then I start building res.

I'm probably not doing an H cash start this round but next time I do, I'll post a snapshot of what it looks like at turn 99.

A proper cash start is concerned about pop and PCI growth, not the 1:1 ratio. You can always fix your ratio later.

Yeah, I guess I just don't know enough about how those mechanics work to best exploit them. I used to use the R casher start that was posted on the wiki until someone removed it. It involved changing tax rates and building different ratios of buildings each turn but seemed to work very well.

Same here. I've seen people manage their population growth by constantly changing their tax rate. Way too much work. I'm not sure what slagpit is alluding to.

I believe your PCI changes instantly and your population obviously does not, so I almost wonder if it's more beneficial to hit the enterprise zones harder at first.
