Starting with 400,000 bushels

I play one turn which reports this :

Food produced: 1,378 bushels
Food consumed: 2,233 bushels
Netchange: -855 bushels

I'm left with 398,746 bushels ???? A change of 1,254 bushels?

no, decay.

it makes perfect sense. you lost 399 bushels to decay as you had 399k(rounded) bushels after your netchange.

Corruption does the same to cash above 2Billion.

Use the market to protect large amounts of food, price it super high ($300+) so it won't sell (if your goal is to stock) if all other food is sold yours will show up and if people need to run turns and have to buy it, well you just banked.
