I initially posted in the "final countdown" thread, but I got thinking people may overlook it not aware of the significance.
It is with great sadness that I have to share the news of Dan's passing. After a months long battle with Pancreatic cancer, he passed away Saturday. Services are being held today, but he will always be in our thoughts. The only condolence is that his suffering is at an end.
Dan was a great guy, and after randomly deciding we should play paintball together one day (Dan was 59 at the time, so he turned a few heads with the long beard and gruff demeanor), we grow to become great friends. It will certainly be far different without him around, but he wouldn't want any of us to dwell on what could of been, but rather to revel in what was and to continue his legacy of mischief along our travels.
