This is debateable. If you recall the reason for Muhammad Ali to change his name over from Cassius Clay was his conversion to Islam. I don't pretend to know the state of his belief system or soul, as its way above my paygrade for that.

I hope he is, he was a decent human being as far as people go. I met him one time, he was already well in the suffering stage of Parkinsons then, Man could barely speak, but he was in better shape that Joe Frazier at the time.

He was certainly a character.
