thanks. I'd recently made a grab and hadn't fully converted. At which point should i be considering the switch to full mbr? I'm gearing up to it now but i've forgotten if 4 weeks to end of reset is too early or just right. I doubt i'll expand much more before the switch.

Full MRB on 6k acres sucks. The market replen is wayyyyy too slow. But you can give it a go if you like.

Also id only switch to full mbr if you have enough stock to buy out your initial private market (cant see your stock so dont know)

Lastly a switch 4 weeks before set ends is considered early, you basically sacrifice time stocking to benefit from the high bushel price (since most people are stocking). My normal destocks are around 7-10 days before set ends. While my early destocks are usually 3 weeks before set ends, which still allows me to benefit from somewhat higher bushel prices. But thats just an estimate as there are many things to take into account.

However. If you switch to MBR then plan on grabbing to like 10k acres. It would probably be worth while :)

A good way of doing that would be to convert. buy max jets from private. Grab some people, build it. Then buy max turrets. (all in one sitting, as in grab, then buy turrets before u log out!!)

That way you get heaps of jets grab people around your nw for max gains, then buy turrets just before logging to defend yourself and will hopefully put you out of range.


Anyway just some ideas to throw around. Many different ways to play and they all tend to work.

Thanks. I was thinking 4 weeks was a little too early. I ran a theo techer->mbr up to $147m nw on 42k acres back in 2001. It's just been so long that I couldn't remember when was too early to make the switch.

I know my size isn't great... it's what comes with starting 18 days in. I'm doing pretty well, I think. I'm at $3.5m+ nw and I seem to be netting much faster than most people. I think that have to build up a little more nw before I can make a bit of a jump in land as I don't want to become too much of a target for the top countries.

The way things are going I think I should easily be in the top 100 before the end of the reset.
