Why do I see some of you guys drop land at the very end of a set? You guys go from like 30k land to 500.

Do you do this only on some servers?
Why do you do this?
How do you not lose NW when you lose land?

You see that mostly on theos going mbr to maximize the tech level to drop private market prices on units, you do need lots of oil so you can generate units and resell on public.

or just to spend those billions gotten from bushels stock.

Build some military bases, drop land, use oil to replenish private market- more efficient.

Do they really do it because it is more efficient or because it is more sneaky?

more efficient, less mil tech to get it maxed and combined with less mbs to get lowest priv prices, if has 50k acres then needs ~2.5m techpoints (as theo) to max mil tech and that's big bucks (unless is techer but even then it'd be better to tech which goes to sale). ofc downside is that needs many many many millions of oil.

How low do the prices go on the priv market if you do this? Are we talking like $14 for a turret and $50 for a tank?


Who even discovered this strategy? I would have never found this in a million years.

theo milbase: 77, 103, 113 and 315

demo milbase: 88, 118,129 and 321

rest: 90, 120, 131 and 368

devs made it to make oiler strat better (before oiler was really good on big war sets) and then players figured that why spent fortunes on mil tech at 500k acres when its easier to build 1 mb or 100 mbs (if wants to avoid some1 killing country with 1 lg) and use oil to generate priv market units. devs didn't think that players would go to extreme and drop land and devs estimated price for oil was totally wrong too.

Stock 10:1 bushels:oil.
Put all goods on market.
Switch government to MONARCHY,
destroy all buildings except construction sites,
recall goods,
sell bushels on private for $35.
Switch government to Theocracy.

Build 1 turn of military bases then destroy your construction sites.

Convert oil to private units and buy em all.

This all should be done last hour or less of the server to maximize income, with a regular destock strat you'd have to buy your PM out days before end of set.

Add in where you drop land after you’ve built one turn of MB’s because you want to have purchased your private market out before you drop the land.

Can't sell bushels at 35 then bug. Why buy millions of overpriced units when you burn oil and buy so much cheaper? Your way seems more of a hyrbid

Sell bushels first buy out private market, build one turn and drop land use oil to replenish.

It’s much different in 1a when you have hundreds of thousands of acres, but if you had say 30k, that one turn won’t hurt that much because buying out your private market isn’t all that much...
