Yes very frustrating issue that's been present for a while, I fail on people with under 10 way more than ones over 20, makes 0 sense...

ahh i should have read this thread before i start to spy him.. i know who u referring to haha.. no wonder i fail all 7 times until i gave up.. every round he went spy heavy.. if i didnt remember wrongly, this guy usually go full defence with high number of spies

You are correct. It’s a pretty decent defense strategy. Hell he has more turrets than I do - if he would have had allies I wouldn’t have grabbed him.

It depends on how important is keeping secrets to you. I use to keep is around 25 most sets but after watching Oprah she got me to not be so insecure and live a little by going on a tank buying spree and pay for it with the mild worry of having 14-15 SPAL.

Whats the largest SPAL you've seen on a non bankrupt country?

I feel like i saw someone in the 60s during a war when I played with NA back in the day. I think UncleC or UncleJ or some Uncle used to run some really high SPAL countries too.
