It's bad enough that land is thin and more scarce every set here, I'm not starting to grab til I have 6k explored, or would it be more optimal at a higher explore goal?

if spends 2-6 turns (4 to spyings (normal+ally+def allies ops unless attacks blindly) and 2 to attack) and gets 300+ acres and ~same ghosties then yes gains are bigger than exploring. is it wise is totally different thing (I was years ago grabbed after oop and lost ~45 acres so attacker would have gotten more land by exploring than grabbing).

easier to grow out of range early.

I've already been farmed by some punk. He was spending two turns to grab 17 acres from me while sitting on just over 225 acres himself. 4 times. Granted I was rocking 0 turrets but it was like day 2. C'mon man!!!

i was going to have 0 defence for a long time at the beginning but looking at the news I see attacks already!!! why do people do it? its better to explore...i think its just the newbs that dont know how to play?

its 1 way to boost attack success stat, can do many successful attacks @ low breaks.

I got grabbed along with a long note explaining that he was sorry, but it the game is structured in such a way that he "has" to grab for his land. I just assured him I would come out ahead on the retal. Messed with my startup a little, but I'll live.

With this number of players, land is going to be scarce... once again.

Some jackwagon failed on me today.

If a country has a good build, one that wil translate to catching up to where you are shortly in the natural order of things, and stored turns, it seems to me like a very bad idea to grab it. Luckily enough for these idiots, I am not ready to grab yet. Oh, wait, that means I will hit them when they have even *more* land.

If I plan out with my defense ally, who has been hit by the same people as me, when to grab to maximize both of our returns, is that a deletable coordination?

I agree, I usually dont wait until the 6k mark, more likely 5.. but i agree, grabbing this early isnt needed
