I've won 8 out of the 18 sets I've completed.
I was teching 4 out of those 18 sets which meant I started out not having any chance to challenge for a win. I fought a war in one of the other sets too. That would mean I had won 8 out of 13 sets that I actually tried to win, which is 61.5%. Well, nobody wins their first ever set in EE, so I should remove my first ever set in EE primary from this statistics, that means 8 wins out of 12 sets that I tried to win, which is 67%.

So by not playing this set, everyone's winning probability likely doubled or maybe tripled =P

Not that we dont want to win this oldman.. i appreciate the effort you and xin and the rest put into this game.. however.. its a game.. for every set you win.. the rest have to loose.

Its great that you have figured the maths to the game to the details .. pretty sure you have a spreadsheet with turn by turn gains and lost done.. or at least in ya head.

I would have beat him

well, the optimization comes pretty natural to me. I've been inclined towards doing such work my whole life (inside and outside of this game). Once you understand the game, you can form the objective function relatively easily to optimize. The efforts put in to get an optimized country definitely is not as high as you think it is. I usually spend 10-15 min running my turns everyday in primary (check my past sets eestats LG timings). The only checks I do, with a spreadsheet, is to determine when I should stop grabbing/if I should continue exploring/if I should get more tech/what I should be stocking. Like I said, once you know how to do it, you can do it very fast.



heh, not entirely. I still won, but not with a record NW and I still blame you for doing what you did =( Sure, you are entitled to do what you want and I respect that but it was just a fluff move. So, yes I'm a grumpy oldman like what silentwolf said. But it doesn't matter at the end of the day since it's just a game. Playing this game for so many years actually trained me in anger management and allowed me see all the different kind of people who exist in this world, heh.

I can relate to everything oldman just said and I mean EVERYTHING, haha, even the anger management part. Everything except I use a spreadsheet for grabbing only reduces my time 5- 10 mins.
