I feel quite a few people think that spies are underpowered as is, why limit that aspect even further? If people are using them against you, get more. Am I missing something?

seriously, any one target gets "spied out" after 15-20 ops, anyway. If you are using up to 50 ops on a single country in one day, you are doing it wrong.

Give me both of your country numbers and I wil demonstrate to you what a suicider with 2 million spies can do to you. The point begin that if I decide to go to 2-3 million spies then I can drop 20 mil networth off of anyone in the closing week. Since there is no point in having more than 25 spy ops in a given day, the excess serves only to fascilitate suiciding.

In that case I think everyone should only be allowed 15 AB's, BR's, and GS's per day as well. For that matter, only 1 missile can be launched per day so as not to have to inconvenience the netters with buying SDI.

I like spies the way they are, and I will continue to use them as a handy retal option on "too" aggressive LG'ers. (And no, I don't and have never suicided. I could care less what networth you netters end up with)

how can you drop 20 mil NW off anybody? spy ops are only powerful if you are at the same NW as your target, hence, a small suicider is better off with missiles than spy ops.

I've played a few heavy spy countries, and I always feel gipped due to the silly spy DR that causes you to fail, rather than giving you reduced gains.

I agree with kwmi that it would be very difficult to have 50 successful ops anyways, and I sincerely doubt you can drop 20M NW off of anyone in primary, unless you're talking about people who leave stock at home undefended, but GS would probably work better anyhow.

Maybe harmfull opps should be limited to 25 but up to 50 for harmless opps? I have found myself using all 50 because of grabbing for a second sitting before the 24h are up, considering your jets are never away for 24h.

When you use 10-15 opps getting a few opps and allies opps you are left with very little to find a few more targets if you only have 25....

I don't find it excessive at all. I do agree that after spying countries and their allies and multiple ones at that (because your not able to hit everyone in the game instantly) that 50 is adequate. Frankly if someone suicides you then kick their ass, it is a war game after all.

i did say something productive by starting a thread to reduce what is currently a ridiculously high number of spy ops. no one here has said anything substantial to a reason for keeping 50 spy ops.
