Tech is viable if there’s very few techers. In that case tech start is also ideal and it’s always the safe choice. It all depends on the market though... too many techers and being a techer stinks, and tech starting isn’t really necessary.

On the topic of prices for things, this is my first reset since probably 2008. What sort of prices are common for market goods and tech these days? Trying to figure out if I should try a tech start or just buy it while selling other goods.

Tech will prob be in the mid $3000s early, and mid $2000s a few weeks in. Jets/turrets around $130. Food at $40 for half the set, jumping to over $50 the second half. Of course that can vary alot.

This is perfect. Was this site around way back prior to 2010? If so, I definitely missed out not using it.

I am curious though what the underlying formulas are for tech though, that way I can plug them into an optimizer I was thinking of putting together. I always liked maxing out my efficiency

I think twopodray should focus on how to grab here. The idea is to not grab people that can ruin your country. Breaking gdi on 3 different good countries just to get to 3k acres isn't ideal =P

Yeah, I just started back after not playing for 10 years or so, definitely have lots to learn and get caught back up on. I appreciate the advice!

Yep, np. Most people explore to at least 4k here before they start grabbing because land is scarce. Also, most here respond harshly when someone breaks gdi. Read the gdi page if you haven't, it's important here.
