Yes! It's great. You might wanna add a stockpiling phase to your strategy as well if you are starting from the beginning.

Stocking and destocking
You should get to a point, if you are balancing your purchases correctly, that your tech is high enough and more turrets would be excessive. At that point you might want to stock most of your food until the last few days when you sell them (either on public or private market) to get funds to buy more military. Stocking food is done by selling it on the market for a price that absolutely wont sell ($300 for example).

Also, try to finish building CS early. A helpful formula I use is:

BPT =Sq rt(land goal)/2

It's not exact, but it's a lazy player's prime efficiency formula.

As Gerdler pointed out, you'll also want to try to delay your purchasing military as much as possible to the end of set to maximize your income. People generally buy bushels that they put on the market to avoid decay, and try to sell and spend all the money right at the end.

But I found the best solution using Machine Learning.

707.106781187 / 2 = 353.553390593

500,000/4 = 125,000

sq rt 125,000 = 353.553390593

Some ppl don't try an calc it at 0 land built.
