1. Yes I have, several times. If US border security were to accept 100 Iranians for every Saud, there would be a gross negligence on the count of the amount of Sauds let in. But facts hurt, I guess. I'm looking forward to the day KSA (estimates put it at 1 decade) is broke. Travel ban is retarded and accomplishes nothing. US immigration policies are already super strict so I don't even see how there can be a problem. The number of refugees accepted by US are close to 0. The European refugee integration problem is complex, but Europe and the world does not become safer by letting the million-sized tent camps in, or by bombing middle eastern countries into pieces. You break it, you buy it. Except US broke it, and then mostly ran away, but not before having helped KSA setup IS.
2. LOL - Trumps speech was completely retarded. Completely BS financial data cited. Incorrectly cited climate reports. Easy to see how it comes about given how many GOP members don't seem to even understand that there is a tremendous problem. Policy is completely stupid. And good luck signing a new global agreement. BTW, the reason Paris Agreement is non-binding is because Obama was a lame duck due to having lost Congress and Senate, and the reason it is not very ambitious is due to US lobbyists who watered it down to the point Obama could sign it. SO yeah, the world totally respects the US for first having made the agreement weak, and then leaving it. :P Two countries are not in, Nicaragua because they thought it was not ambitious enough, and Syria since well, go figure. China and India pollutes a lot less than the US and they are much, much further a long in ending their unsustainable energy dependency. China is a world leader. They expect 30 million jobs in sustainable energy in a few years. Last year there were 2 million Chinese just making PV cells. But good luck creating all those millions US jobs by opening a few more coal mines and turning back the clock on manufacturing technology. Everybody knows it's stupid - even US oil companies wanted to remain in the Paris Agreement, not to mention every other business category that matters. The only one cheering was some coal mining company.
If Trump thinks it didn't go far enough, nothing would stop him from going further. Each signatory sets their own goals, remember? And since it is non-binding, as you also have learned, there is no international force to limit US coal. That part in the speech was a complete distraction. You can reduce your combined total emissions completely as you see fit. But Trump seems to be going backwards, to more pollution. Thankfully some of the more productive US states and cities will continue the fight anyway, including Pittsburgh LOL. They together with the rest of the planet can carbon tax any exports from the remaining states, so I think we as a species will manage to overcome the Trump stupidity in this aspect, but it sure doesn't help with such an anti-science, anti-intelligence joke of a leadership in the WH.
3. Once the evidence is clear, and there is no doubt that Trump is owned by Russia and the WH practically is hijacked and now controlled from the Kremlin, I wonder at what point the GOP has enough spine to throw him under the bus, despite a 30% popularity rating or whatever it will be.
4. Trump is a complete disaster, he spontaneously change US policy on a whim, triggered by what seems to be a level of brain development equal to that of a 5-year old. "He got one more scoop of ice cream than I", "He made me look bad in the hand shake". He is unfit to serve. Yeah, the rest of NATO has realized by now that US existing WH leadership cannot be counted on. Trump struck out the article 5 pledge from his speech, that the entire US intelligence and defence apparatus had made sure was in (i.e. the adults in the room with the whiny toddler), to randomly ramble nonsense instead, in Brussels. Unfit to serve. If you want to avoid wars escalating in ME, perhaps you could stop trying so hard to break it. IS, Saud clan are not nice people. Saud is a desert clan that happened to find oil and became silly rich. Iran is the continuation of a more than 2 millenia old Persian empire. Yes they do have Sharia law and a not-so democratic theocratic arm of the government, but they also have a democratic arm of the government, which just re-elected a reformist, against right-wing extremists. Since you claim to be well-read into these things I'm sure you know that Iran was a complete democracy until 193, when US and UK overthrew the government to install the Shah instead as king. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/...ranian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat ) The unavoidable revolution didn't happen until 1979, which initially was a completely and widely backed revolution with lots of participating groups. Unfortunately the most violent extreme groups managed to come out on top after the turmoil that followed, and over 2 decades slowly twisted the laws into theocratic ones. Saudi is SO MUCH WORSE THAN THIS! Iran is a few decades away from a largely peaceful transition away from the ayatollah in my view. State Department can't defend the position either, because it does not make sense. This poor guy has to think hard how to give an answer that doesn't end his career LOL ( https://twitter.com/...status/869649552617463808 ). The US is backing the wrong horse in this race. Obama was trying to correct that. Best would be if you'd just get the fck out of ME in total. All the talk about democracy seems very, very thin.

Good bye and good luck!

Wow, just wow. Where do you get your information, sinistril?
Can you find said terrorist ridden countries on a map and do you know who did 9/11 and where from essentially every single IS terrorist performing terror acts in Europe recently come from?

Trump's first foreign trip was a complete and utter disaster, unless your measure stick is upside down, where the positive objectives include dethroning the US as a global leader, destroying the liberal world order, further fueling great wars in middle east (to drive arms sales, at expense of millions of human lives lost?).

Getting out of the Paris Agreement is just hilariously retarded. But thanks for all the free business that US gives up to Europe and China, thanks to it! You must be so deep into the propaganda news to even contemplate that it's a good thing to get out of LOL.

Bill Clinton was not having lawyers speak on his behalf in pre-impeachment procedures during month 5 of his presidency. But Clinton was impeached, but cleared. I don't think Trump will be cleared however. :-P Because he's a mentally ill, unstable Alzheimer-affected bully psycopat. Unfit to serve by the very definition in your constitution. And yes, the world's rolling in laughing over him, except that he's bringing US down with him.

It is interesting to see that people like you actually exist, but I'll stop wasting my energy from here on out, because the best way to combat the idiocracy in the world is to continue to be productive and making progress, rather than running around setting the world a blaze and destroying things.

Mr Cigar, SOL wears the top 10 spots nicely IMO. Your whining is amusing. Maybe go ask Pang / QZ for an alliance server with no military in it?

Another feedback for added optional depth to the game: Let market be transparent, i.e. show all buy/sell orders (and for-sale goods). This allows for deeper market analysis and gaming. Not sure if anyone else is would like that though. :)

The online AI servers role is in the above context where the different student project AIs could meet to face off each other.

(I'm not sure how to quote a quote post so a non-quoted reply)
Pang, thanks for your response!

With ML I am referring to Machine Learning. When using GPU's to run the number crunching, you need very short latency for the ops or the simulation will take a very long wall time and you won't see learning happening as fast as possible. So the most efficient way to implement machine learning is to essentially encode the simulation rules into the code that runs on the GPU itself. You can think of it in a way that it can run like a million games/countries/whatever in parallel when it's training. If you would attempt to set this up but have the backend be your online-servers, your bandwidth bills and CPU utilization wouldn't be happy. So clearly online has to be rate-limited since you have a limited operational budget. Thus, the only truly viable way to do the ML thing efficiently is to have local simulation.
This depends on building an efficient implementation (C, CUDA) of the game, either single-country-only and lose some aspects, or full-game with market/war/other countries. Regardless, it depends on having access to a complete set of up to date game formulas.

You asked if this is a request. Well, no? :D I have toyed with the idea of using this as a sort of challenge when I'm now learning AI and ML. But there is a huge barrier to entry in well, needing the above mentioned infrastructure before even getting started. But it does sound not too far off your containerization idea, which I like and that could serve as a basis for someone to possibly make a instruction-optimized implementation (to train faster). This all relies on you being able to actually completely open source the game engine. I think you should, and I'll posit one argument in favor: the strength of earth empires is not in the secrecy of the code, but the (unfortunately currently small and shrinking) community, and that can't be copied or replicated. I suppose it is possible to release it under an "educational only" license or similar.
So an outspoken request? No. But barrier-to-entry to further ML research? Definitely. So something in that direction could help enable your idea of AI class room game challenge.

The EER project, well, it's something I found. It looks a bit dated, R code for simulation, but seemed to have a not too shabby implementation of the game logic. *shrug* I've seen the PHP bot too, but that's only client side logic essentially, it has no replication of game logic for offline simulation/training.

A well-trained AI deep-learning neural network bot would probably beat a human 1:1 with no effort at all, FWIW (Terminator?). :]

Food for thought?

Ubuntu 12.04 is out of support and you should setup TLS, like LetsEncrypt or sth.

As for the topic and the design, is the intent to diverge from the classic color theme or to try and work it in there? I'm like 80% confident you are diverging given the new icons.

Direction-wise, obviously a great step that you're taking. By basing onto a REST API for the game, where are you planning to draw the line of supporting non-EE clients?

And while on the mic, is qz's https://github.com/s4lt3d/EER the closes thing one can come to completely offline-simulate the game for ML purposes? (like, GPU-scale parallellism and iterations)

k thx bye

Dear script kiddies/criminals of LaF et al,

when you repeatedly DDoS the game's IRC service, yes, you make MD a bit blind, so yes, it's of course easier to kill our countries when we're blind. But we're OK with that (really, we are, and we beat you despite this).

The game owners however should know what type of actions you repeatedly undertake in order to get advantages in the game.

Oh and BTW, it's a federal crime (US) and illegal in most EU countries as well.

Now, please continue and die, you're so good at it. :P

If the game owners would like details we can provide the timestamps. It's happening frequently.

Anticimex, MD100 final set.

The war report above lists some tiny 1-man or 2-man tags MD isn't hitting. This one might be more accurate based on events so far (MD still hasn't hit all tags):

Over the past 14 years I have played one set, and that 6 years ago. I know several friends' kids born after that, whom today are old enough to play themselves.
There was a call to arms, to play the final Earth:2025 MD reset, the 100th reset. I came for war.

Burn earth server, burn.
