I agree Sap, on the flip side I really like the longer servers too. They have their aspects that are great too. I like that the mods have tinkered with the evolution of the game and have different servers with various experiences for the player. I have noticed the longer sets seem to attract players more serious about the game and less trolls. I enjoy that aspect. Trolls don’t seem to want to dedicate months to building monsters capable of even trolling the monsters. It may even take years to develop those type of skills. Far behind what trolls will dedicate of their time.

Express on the other hand, you log in for 30 seconds 3 times that week and you can totally ruin the game for any netter in the game simply going all X. That’s the biggest downside along with the high DR on the quick servers.

Superfly has amassed over 16.5 MILLION acres on the express server in all! Even ratski would have a top ten country in size, he may find that interesting to know.

That actually sounds completely awesome too though. Number one rank would be the most dedicated player. Imagine how big superflies country would be as many sets on express as he’s played. Man it would be cool to see a country that took a decade to build. Superfly with max war techs and a monster like that sounds like quite a problem!

I’d like to understand the bot hate more because I see it a lot. Is this aspect something that could be changed and fixed?

As long as you still compete with other players and attack other players I just view them as irrelevant minus being able to grab them. What exactly is it the bots take away from the game?

Maybe there’s a middle ground everyone would enjoy.

Ok yea I thought that was right but couldn’t remember for sure. Those were the best servers i remember liking them too. Some of the big servers were intimidating and that’s where I started playing if I remember correctly.

Superfly that’s a good point that is the biggest downside to the bots. If you could solve that by doubling up the amount of bots to account for the number of players and turns and solve that issue by bringing the bots to 0 or 1-2 DR, that would be awesome. The big grabs are the best most fun part of the game so optimizing that will make it the most fun experience possible from a players perspective.

I think the mods have the right idea with implementing the bot countries. If co-op had real player interactions and was a single server it could be the most popular form of the game imo. Express is the best server experience imo outside of the turn rate seemingly leading to more guys engaging in bad sportsmanship. Being able to stock 600 turns causes way to many trolls and suiciders who spend 15 minutes building a country to destroy one a netter spent a week building.

Primary slower turn rate seems way more suited for the bot servers. The only thing I don’t like about bots is when they are in high DR. Other than that I think the mods did a great job building express to what it is now and it’s a lot of fun. Wears you out though with the super intense turn rate. I like that too though. Very intense game.

Have bots ever been attempted in a primary setting with the slow turn rate? Is it feasible to have +1,000 country sets again without changing the gameplay?

Some of the countries from 2013 were close to 90,000 acres. Those were crazy.

You could very easily dial in your end game SF and have a big finish. I noticed that when you had a great set with that democracy farmer in primary.

Next time you are sitting up in the top ten like that make your priority maximizing your tech levels. If you can get them maxed BEFORE stock time then you can cash out and get a big finish. You are pretty much there at that level with your big farmers over there.

Yea 38,000 acres that’s a very solid rep casher you built. If you can do it once you can do it again though. This type of behavior really just postpones the inevitable in that regard.

I don’t even know ratski. That dudes a weirdo. He’s mad he can’t make top ten so instead he suicides people who can. He literally told me that’s what he’s upset about.

If he didn’t waste his turns doing stupid stuff like spy ops he probably would make a top ten finish.

I offered to help him and he gave me his word he would follow instructions verbatim and I gave him my word that I could indeed guide him to a top ten if he would stop suiciding people.

Long story short I kept my word and ratski broke his and didn’t do that. He has no reason to hate me. He just acts very dishonorable and doesn’t like that I talked about the behavior I witnessed.

It's not the Empy that played in 99 to 2000 whatever year. We are in our 50's, 60's and 70s around here. Why are we acting like children? JUST PLAY and engage and WAR. That's how we keep alliance. Otherwise we'll be netting with the girls on coop.

With that said, through a short discussion, and a couple of thank you's, and perhaps didn't even impact it at all, showing some appreciation for keeping this game and SERVER open for whatever amount of years for us to act like toxic 13 year olds hopped up on snorted pixie sticks before gym class, we got the november start date we want, and we get to keep alliance.

Now you wanna show up here and F it up?

We got the explanation. We got an analogy to explain for those of us who don't understand.

Yes it’s a grey area. I think if you hit them because of your loss that’s ok but to explicitly help your ally is where you have to be careful. That’s exactly what the guys used to get mad at ratski for.

Looks like cruel is receiving quite the onslaught right now though.

*not saying we had proof ratski cheated. But that that same pattern is what led to players finding his buddies play suspicious. Hitting guys your ally is getting retals by I mean.

Yea I’m pretty sure because I was knocked down until 11th place by him on the express top 3 and now I am back at 10 and his name isn’t up there any more. It happened when he was banned so I would think that’s what it was.

Have any good finishes though. He cheated and the mods deleted his account of the leaderboards. I would assume he cheated on the rest of those finishes since that’s clearly his character. Once you cheat at any sport or game the only fair thing to do is exactly what the mods did.

That dude is a goofball. How much time has he dedicated to seething now. Imagine being so insecure that you cheat at a online game and then suicide everyone when the mods bust you in an obvious attempt to vandalize their game.

Accessing a private server without permission is actually a pretty serious crime too. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could be charged for making 200 accounts after website owners made it clear you aren’t welcome. I’ve been wondering that watching his antics. Seems like very risky behavior for very little to gain as well.
