myclanhosting.com has a break calculator that takes into account allies/spy ops, so if you've got updated spy ops/ally ops it'll take that all into account for you. However, you'll need an account with a clan there, at the moment at least..

Just got told that my webhost for myCLAN will be shutting down as of September 1st. Any clan that uses myCLAN, please be aware that there will be some downtime sometime in the next week as I switch to my new webhost and getting the server setup and DNS propogating. This was a last minute announcement that I got, so I have no planning time to take into account clan wars and wait for set ends unfortunately. Will try to make the downtime as short as I can.

If any of ya are on myCLAN and just happen to not be able to access your clan site, just be aware this is why.

Sorry, had to do a server reinstall and new server backend. Having to do some code changes to work with the new server setup. Hoping to have it up again tonight, tomorrow at the latest.

no pacts ever protect untagged countries, just tags. Untagged in this server are fair game for abuse. Untagged rarely will find themselves in fair situations because countries can't grab too many choices of clans, so they go after untagged. Always been, always will.

no sense "trying" alliance server w/o joining a clan, cause you'll just be farmed to the ground w/o being in a clan.

It's been a good couple months spent rewriting myCLAN to bring it up to version 4.0. Lots of new features that should excite everyone..

New features on myCLAN v4:

add/edit/delete icons removed, replaced in favor of a notepad icon that drops down to give more options.
------->Confirm delete option on drop down menus instead of being redirected to a confirmation page.

Improved search
------->Search now allows you to search country name, number, tag, along with a search of the forums for the exact phrase or any words

Theme manager!!!!!!!!
------->A theme manager is now available, granting access to a copy of the stylesheet to edit.

Shared forums
------->Forums can now be shared among other clans. Shared forums will appear under a shared forum category and cannot be moved out of that category. Both clans must assign perms for their users to be able to view the forum. Simply share a forum by making a new forum, and selecting a clan to share it with.

Shared spyops
------->Spy ops can be shared among clans.. this can be changed via the alliance control panel

Major redesign
------->Major overhaul of the layout of the site allowing for 100% screen real estate to allow for more info to be displayed on the pages. Removed all pop up overlays but for one.

Retal statistics
------->Fixed retal statistics so you can view your retal stats for the set.

Major bug fixes
------->Fixed lots and lots of bugs from myCLAN v3. Strategy center is fully functional now. Division manager is updated to work properly with permissions, restructured how it worked to avoid the risk of div permissions messing up.

Clan events - recurring option
------->Introduced the recurring event option. If selected, it will recreate the event for the 24 hour intervals for the amount of days you selected. This was an option for a bit previously, but failed to work. Rewrote it for myCLAN v4.0.

Spy op listings
------->New page to display all available spy ops uploaded by your clan or shared ops that you have access to.

Country/News search
------>Major overhaul of the layout of the country/news search forms, more clean looking.

Select all boxes
------>Removed pre-made perms on forums and membergroup permissions and replaced with select all buttons.

Clock/Events box
------>Events will now show the 3 most upcoming events instead of 1.

Hide Signatures
------>You can now hide signatures via the user profile

Site Reports
------>Recently introduced a couple weeks ago, it's enough to list on this changelog. This tool will allow you to get a glance of what membergroups have permissions to what.

FA Message System
------>Updated the FA message system to allow you to have a list of all messages. Past versions of myCLAN, you had your list in the embassy.. However this caused issues if the clan didn't use the same tag the next set.

the downtime message does specify 48-96 hours. Had wisdom teeth removed yesterday so I've been unable to do anything yesterday unless I wanted to mess things up:) Spent most of today working on the updates. Unfortunately site had to be taken down to finish the updates to prevent more complications and sync issues. I should have it back up in the next few hours hopefully, and if not tomorrow at some point.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "transition" from squared to rounded corners. all divs are using round corners, except for tables inside the divs.. or is it the tables inside each div or is it just round corners in general?

Yah, noticed my ranksfeed file wasn't updating right. Newsfeed worked perfect though, just you didn't see any news because there was no tag set up, as there was no FFA tag to select. Made a fix for it for now, i plan on rewriting my ranksfeed file by the set end to implement a new End of set API that was put out.

but it should be working now:)

just FFA and Alliance are my priorities on the site, as i have limited disk space available, so focused on the 2 servers.

The site offers the same tools as boxcar, key difference is that myCLAN's tools are more functional than boxcar, more automated.

For instance, boxcar gave you permissions where you would grant access to edit users, but that perm would grant you access to the user manager and allow you to add,edit, delete users, and permissions etc.. So a site could easily be taken over by that method. myCLAN has a perm for everything.. add/edit/delete for every tool so that you can choose exactly who has what.

major tool that boxcar doesn't offer is the Foreign Affairs message system, which is my favorite. An FA can message you via your site, which the site will notify you when you login that you have an issue/pact request pending. You can add a pact right from there and reply to the message etc..

Hi mdevol. Not sure where you got the info that myCLAN is an RD project, but it's completely false. I'm from ICN, I've been in ICN since January of 2012. We left boxcar when the hanlong/TC incident happened. I wanted off boxcar because I did not trust boxcar because someone else had control of it for a while. I've spent most of my time on the site implementing all the features that I have now, and the only reason I opened it up is because ICN is now 5 members or so, and well I don't want to code for just 5 members who hardly even use it in the first place, but way too much work has gone into the site to just dump it. I figured I'd rather share it with the rest of the game. I'm very fond of the site.

RD and I/myCLAN have absolutely no affiliation with eachother except that they helped me find bugs in the site, which they did report a lot of bugs, some which actually did give access to my clan's forum posts. They reported it to me instantly, and anythng they did get was just dull stuff, as ICN hasn't had a valuable chat in ages:P

Yes, I will admit my site is not 100% secure, I don't know of a single site that is, but I feel it is pretty safe. Anyone who has talked to me knows my dedication to the site, or whatever project I am working on. Mdevol, if you ever wish to talk to me, i'm on IRC or any other messenger a lot. Or talk to Dragon of ghqnet, I talk to him almost daily, and he can tell you what I just said. I just want to make sure you feel comfortable that this site is not what you believe it to be.

Well, guess a thank you is in order for the second paragraph, but I'm not sure where you get off thinking that the site was an RD venture? I'm ICN, the site was made spring 2012 for ICN, and the only reason I've opened it up is because ICN is dying and I didn't want to code for just a few people, and so much time went into the site that I didn't want to abandon it either. Only affiliation RD has with my site is that they were willing to help beta test my site, and this was before the whole boxcar/RD issue became known.

Can I say that the site is 100% secure, absolutely not, nothing is, and I won't ever make that promise; However, i'm always at work on the site and constantly improving it.

So to sum it all up:

Is myCLAN an RD venture? No way, it was an ICN one, which I've actually stepped down from leadership in ICN last week, and haven't actually played the game in 2 or 3 sets now.

Does RD call myCLAN theirs? Not to my knowledge, but that I can care less about.. I love building the site for people, and it's everyones who uses it in my opinion, hence the name myCLAN

this sounds like a good idea to me.. if you have something on sell that you rely on to sell so you can continue making money to run turns, but you go and put your stock on the market on accident for 36 instead of 360 or whatnot, or just forget to raise the price entirely, you now have to recall everything, which in turn slows you down on your next playtime.

Is it a feasible idea that if you were trying to kill a country but get the message you cannot hit this country unless you declare war due to the country being in GDI, so you go declare war, only to find that humanitarians block your move.. Can it be made that it won't let you declare war if humanitarians are going to block you anyways? Never understood why you could declare war but couldn't attack, then you're stuck in war and unable to do anything but lose the cash.
