Like I said celphi, before my time. I've not a purple to my name. I didn't actually know it was you but that makes sense. Though I'm doubting 3 tags came at you because the 1a tag wasn't even 15 members at that time, but I cant say for sure. It's funny. The story as I'd heard it was that you hit a two man tag just to avoid getting hit by elders. They said they hit solo and got purpled. Looking back thru the leadership logs from that time, they didnt ask for help nor did they think they had any. Sounds like some separate people who hit you maybe? Or you're over hyping yourself? I suppose it doesnt matter. The end result is the same. According to logged convo with tella, they were deleted because you were already at war with a 2 man tag, so I've always believed the mods description of the narrative but your story seems way different. S'pose the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Elders disbanded on team but 3 or 4 of the 7 that played there still play in various tags. Celphi included. Tho he grew a chubby for killing elders before I ever came back to playing. They play various sets between darkness, dwar, freebuch, mercs, etc. All depends what's going on. Those of us that like to net had banded together for multiple sets in a row but were only able to net for 2 sets likely largely due to my reputation and went back to war tags.

Elders is now known as darkness in 1a. The team name paying homage is an indicator of the type of members that are there. Killers.

Elves still plays very rarely with us in 1a but he just doesnt have the time these days. Currently galleri is the mod of this server.

Currently, politics are simple. Theres a handful of tags that are pretty decent at coexisting and then like 10 people who die every set. There aren't really good wars like that anymore. CWG blindsided villains last set which is intriguing and I'd think gets revenged this set. The other tags will probably kill you if you hit them at all, unless they're netters like ZigZag or hcfc then they will retal.

There are two basic systems for netting here. You either go all explore or you get your tag suicided on. Most remaining players in the game are capable of hitting back so farming untagged is usually a good way to get smacked. All x tags like hcfc do get hit from time to time, but as a tag we are all aware is attempting to all x, hitting them is just rude lol. ZZ on the other hand you'll see hitting the untagged and dealing with multiple suiciders. It's really just preference there.

Fascist Oiler is great for retals in express, they never look at how many millions of barrels you have so you can just dump a load on the market or even on the private market, if you're in a hurry, buy a few hundred thousand jets and instant retal almost anyone.

What makes it even more interesting is if the universe smiles upon you and just lines everything up perfectly for you.

For example, I last played Express about a month ago. Was running a nice fasc/oiler and putting cheap oil on the market. I made sure to retal every hit that came my way. Wasn't really looking for a win; just bored, mainly because I forgot to join GDI before retalling. Anyways, I did a retal on someone, and he RoR'd me. Douche #1. I sent a few bioterror ops in his direction because he was a casher, and he's like 'stop, you're not affecting me at all, call a truce', so I did. His playing style pretty much guaranteed that someone else would be dealing with him shortly.

Soon after, I made a comment in the forum about an earlier retal I made on someone else that netted me way more than the original hit--noob vs pro, that sort of thing. My comment attracted yet another player to randomly AB me for no reason, other than my comment, and HE posted so. Douche #2. So I sent a few token missiles his way, making him think I was through with him. Then I searched the news history, and realized he was at war with Douche #1. Interesting.

Then Douche #1 IMs me ingame, saying we should team up and hit Douche #2. If you've been playing here long enough, you'd know that messaging for collusion is against the rules in Express. So I reported his message to the mods, and got Douche #1 deleted. Then, once my turns were replenished, I leveled Douche #2.

Sometimes, if you wait, they screw themselves over.

Yeah it is a waste of good land. I have probably given away more land to grabs than anybody, except maybe mrford's land farm, but like you say rarely do the grabbers finish well at all. I just slough it off and play my game. I hate to waste turns on someone that isn't going to finish better than me lol.

I always find the "you don't know who you are messing with" messages pretty amusing.

This is why I play topfeeding moron now (if at all which is rare). So many self-entitled idiots who dont think that they are retallable.

If this was me, I would wait for them to RoR and then I'd flatten them.

I actually just needed the forum bonus post. I have not really played Express in a few weeks. the interest has faded.

What wasnt available ( some equations) figured out myself thru trial & error and pen & paper.
Played couple of sets before. Last set didnt have time so only played a few hundred turns. Before that, my very first set was killed for being n00b.
Dang this game is easy :D Watch out veterans your records are in danger!

Nah the commie bots are just primed for farming by tomorrow usually. Jet up and big returns.

Demo, Commie, Mono and Rep bots build 240 CS's. Dicts build 352 CS's and Theos build ~168 CS's.

They usually play all turns whenever they wake up so 0(0) turns on hand when you spy. I have noticed indy bots sometimes hold turns but only rarely.

If you aren't 100% sure it is really a bot just grab it once to be safe. There are other ways to tell if a bot is real but the clues above will get you real close to perfect bot farming :)

It was easier back when they didn't build spies lol.

Or look like a human - if you have 240cs and a bot looking name then people will think you are a bot.
