Quite a few of my family members have had success quitting by using those water vapor electric smoker things, where other methods have all failed.

From what I understand, MD was deciding *whether* to call in allies. There was some discussion back and forth of whether they wanted to call us in (My personal belief is they weren't going to call us in to a complete slaughter, but then given their performance over the first couple of days, they decided that they could still dole out some harm before the end), and over logistics and timing. Once that was decided, LCN saved turns, then hit.

You'll have to ask MD directly for their opinion, though.

pro's: it's short sweet and to the point, although I"m not sure what the doors have to do with it.

cons: lacks entertainment value and general fluffage..

overall I would give it a 5 out of 10.. not terrible, long, or boring, but not too memorable either

I'm interested to hear more about this, because I certainly haven't been party to this.

It's so fascinating to see how some people create fantasyworlds to fill in the unknowns in their heads.

As a small point of clarification out of a sea of misinformation... I was under the impression that SoF and LCN were on good terms. This set, when we tried to re-sign our FDP, SoF told us that they would not sign LCN unless we pacted RD and Rival.

I have no beef with RD or Rival, but we LCN'ers don't appreciate being told what our foreign policy can or cannot be. We'll stand by our friends, but we won't be treated like puppets. So we dropped our pursuit of a pact with SoF.

We didn't plan to war this set, but, like LaF, we honor our allies' requests to come to their aid, regardless of how overpowered or futile the fight.

I was under the impression that most of the California raids had to do with MM dispensaries that didn't even meet the CA regulation requirements.

What I'm more interested in is seeing how much massive hemp farms will affect the economy/will be regulated. That's the real cash crop here, and could be a major boon to CO and Washington.

Where does Task even play? He hasn't been in LCN for several sets. And, if I remember correctly, he only spent a set or two with us.

Actually, that scumbag TAN is the only one who I've ever joined for drinks on his time. And I felt so dirty I had to wear gloves.

More seriously, though, we left lots of alliances open this set, and when it came down to it, nearly all of the actual conflicts centered around PDM. We were able to resolve most of them at the FA level (and actually, we continued to pay reps on one of them all the way up till the FS--and we'll finish up the reps on that particular incident once this war is over), but the overall frustration eventually hit a boiling point, both among general membership and some of our leaders. That's why PDM.

Admittedly, we didn't take your recent war history into consideration. We've had our heads in the sand for the last few sets. We opted to stay out of (either side! of) the grudge wars because we believe those kinds of wars aren't good for the game, and we felt that LCN's entry would imbalance either side too much. And nobody likes an unfair fight. Present company included--as I said before, lots of alliances are unpacted, so you do have options.

So, as Japri said more succinctly than I'd ever be able to put it:

I think the vast majority of the server knew that LCN was looking for a war this set; if you feel that the war is terribly unfair, then you have many options at your disposal, like, for example, calling in allies.

We also weren't "sneaky" at all in our "major FS surprise"; the communication delays, the complete hold on PDM hits, and full turn save were obvious to several other alliances (as evidenced by their repeated ops on us and various inquiries). I don't know what to tell you if you really had no clue this was coming.

Some of those ideas actually point out some real logical problems in the game mechanics. I came here expecting to be entertained; I leave entertained AND educated!

Hahaha. That might actually be kind of entertaining. LCNers and SOLers would be so preoccupied with beating each other for best warstats/most kills that it would actually make for a pretty good (albeit rifted) team.


But I'd only agree if that POS Maki was playing.

Seems to me that with the small number of untaggeds in the game, this actually makes intra-tag grabbing more appetizing for some players.
