Any insights on what happened? I had a small dialogue w/ the nation early in the set after getting hit. Returned the favor and now see the deletion. Why must the mods again curb my bloodlust?

You might not want to knock the strategy, but I will. With me the game is strategy and diplomacy, both missing w/ bots and the majority of the players here. Do as you do, but hit me and your game plan better be sound. And no, whining about retals, RoR on double taps, and the rest of that crap just doesn't cut it anymore. Hump your bots, but stop humping my leg.

Stop invading countries and you don't have to worry about retaliations (and I use this word not in EE terminology). If you want to be a conqueror, man up to the consequences. Why would I have 10 times as many missiles, if I can't use them (spare me the line of only retaliating w/ SS or PS). Wrecking somebody's set? You are playing a post-apocalyptic game about nation building.

If your strategy is to hit countries w/ missiles while you have no SDI or tanks while you have none, stop complaining about your opponents lack of skill, look at your own lack of strategy and the almost inevitable lack of diplomacy come the fall out of your consequences aka your opponent's sissy fit.

Any suggestion as to how to do a better job randomizing or blending in names with real players as best as possible? zerozerozero mentioned lifting names from other servers which is a great idea. However, not everybody plays on the same servers so recognizing names can be moot, some players might not appreciate seeing their name lifted (can't blame them) while others might be flattered (again can't blame them), and some names are quite offensive/tasteless and should be discouraged from use.

Furthermore, as I just stated above it won't be long before players start masking their names to seems as bots like I tend to do already, waiting just waiting for that 2nd attack. That said we clearly have different objectives so I respect your difference in opinion.

I'm with XNinja, give them real country names or cities as in city states. It would make it obvious they were bots until others started adopting similar names. It would be interesting to see if certain countries or city-states got tagged more than others.

I would prefer hitting an actual place rather than Captain Ravenhead Johnson or whatever the nom du jour for country is. Of course, I prefer tagging real players as they are more likely to whine.
