Your "market simulator" playstyle depends on a fairly broken game already.
The formulas that your optimal growth depend on for netting demand lots of dumb cattle to farm (bots that provide no-downside acreage) and folks afraid of (turret demand) jerks doing dumb things (jets demand).
Personally, I would like the game even more if we all had to weigh risk/reward for every grab. That would open more interesting and valid playstyles.
Additionally, it would be interesting to see servers that do not grade on net worth, but instead other criteria (Perhaps first to grab from Ruritania, or grab the most acreage from Ruritania, or just total number of acres held at round end.)
