Is there a way to tell which countries are bots?

Damn that sucks :( on that topic, is there a place where it sums up all the differences between earth 2025 and earth empires? Like does the 2b bug still exist, can you store food on market without it spoiling, etc?

IX had great leadership and organization, IMO was pretty solid, especially during the IX/IM times! We had a great FA and IA department, so many fresh ideas that we couldn't even implement them all!

Update: LittleItaly pointed out that you need to go to m.earthempires.com to get the mobile version, so the bug is that it doesn't automatically take you there when using a mobile device.

Yes, hmmm the easiest way I could prove it to you would be an imag reference, Fooglmog got his sig "guy with no clue" from me over some heated debate on AT, trying to remember what it was about, maybe the allegations against IX, perhaps being somehow linked to CoA, though maybe it wasn't that :D I think perhaps of all my accomplishments in Earth, that would be my best one, since in the history of IX I'm just a footnote in the creation of Lust, lol

I'd need to look at the old strats again, but in the first reset I'd probably run all explore farmer or maybe techer, but I feel like it'd be hard to get back into that for my first reset in years! Can you still put food up on the market to have it not spoil? And is the 2 billion bug still there (I assume so, would be weird to change that dynamic)?

Steps:
1. Go to the portal page
2. Enter the settings menu
3. Set mobile mode to enabled
4. Enter gameplay

Bug(10/10): Mobile mode doesn't function, and doesn't appear to change anything in the UI. The links and entry fields are extremely small making them very hard to press.

Note 1: This occurs on both the iPad Mini and iPod Touch.

Hey there, just wanted to play a bit for old times sake, but I'd want to play on my iPad. Does it detect that as a mobile device? I wish there was a way to just always display the mobile version, because the buttons (and UI) are way too small in the current state :/ It'd be cool if an API was made which allowed people to submit different designs. It'd be awesome to see one which recreated the entire UI as it would look on a browser from 1997, lol. But yes maybe I will enter this as a bug if there's no way to get that mobile version on my device!

As the article states, Kurdish has common roots with Persian, and it shows that most countries (aside from Syria) seem to be more accepting of the diversity. I guess I should've mentioned that peoples of different languages can coexist, but as I said in terms of the Crimean region the Russians and Ukrainians fought together, I'd say most of them were bilingual but a large majority must've been Ukrainians that spoke Russian. To state that language is the only cultural "mode of transport" would be an exaggeration, because there would be sharing between these groups, and I think that in the past the relationship between them could have been more favourable. Colonialism in that region probably ruined a lot of the earlier ties, though.

Splitting up countries doesn't always help, also although there are different religions in the region, they still share a common culture through language, which thrives best when working together... Also, when you divide people based on religion it's not very helpful to the cause of peace, it's best to bring them together so they have mutually shared interests. That creates stability more than anything else, so it makes sense to always pursue that. For example in Israel, there was a time when Palestinians and Jewish people lived together in peace, but of course it was in a period where they worked together and didn't try to divide themselves. Segregation is a huge issue as we're all aware, and creating those borders could potentially divide families and stifle progress towards the communication between different groups... I wouldn't want to change the subject to Ukraine but Russia holds a lot of interests in the Crimean region, their history is filled with accounts of defending the region, and that happened at a time when Ukrainians and Russians worked together against a shared enemy. So I'm sure there are many Ukrainians that remember that, and feel safer behind Russia than the European Union...

I never played Earth because of the game, it's always been about the community. When I was in IX I was fascinated with running an alliance and having teams properly organized, so for me, Internal Affairs was a larger part of the enjoyment of the game than the game itself... But yeah now I play for Omega since they're the last alliance I was in before I left Earth, and I like the community there, plus since there's no more Gamerstown it's the next best site for an alliance.

I read an interesting paper on it once, how the fear of Communists/the Cold War turned into the fear of Terrorists/the war on terror. If we're going to look at the past 50 years, events have escalated in the sense that they begin and end quicker, so if the Cold War took 30 years, then who knows, this war on terror could be over in 5 now with Bin Laden gone.

So yeah, what'll be the media's next morbid fascination? Robots taking over? Alien invasion?

Too bad the hard drive it's on is on the other side of the continent!

No I'm implying that only stupid people would follow rules and law 100%. Most people that follow them 100% fear accountability for their actions, which is one of the problems we face in North America; if less people would follow blindly, I'm sure our economies would be in a better place right now than they are.

Really if anything I'm implying that the admins are above average intelligence, since they can interpret the rules to make things best for the majority.

Imagine how terrible the world would be if all the rules and laws were followed!!! Rules are there as a precedent, generally meant to stop assholes from being lame to members of the community.

AT has always been the ground for people playing the alliance server to talk on, I don't see why that should change.

Until AT goes back to the level of activity from years ago (IE: all posts on the first page from the last 24 hours), I don't see why it should bother you anyways!

I'm biased but man I think I'd die if I had to sit through the Ring Cycle... Even more than an hour or two of it. I think Wagner's pieces are all frilly fancy business with not too much substance, though yes, Ride of the Valkyries is good. If I had a time machine, I'd go back in time, shoot Wagner, and steal that piece and call it my own!

But yes RATM and stuff like that is the best. That's what I used to listen to when in kill runs, at least. Or really crazy psychedelic rock!!!

I don't know if this'd be too intense for the servers (speaking of which, I assume they're dedicated?) but maybe make the speed hitting readiness loss change depending on how many countries have attacked the country within the last 30 mins? Too complicated?

I just feel like otherwise this'd benefit large alliances when they're attacking smaller ones, making it a bit one sided.

When I put my browser in full screen mode it just *barely* fits lol, and I guess I've sort of gotten used to playing in full screen, but Linux has this weird issue in which when Firefox is in fullscreen I can't seem to have any windows (like a notepad or calculator) open, which also sucks! But I guess I'd have to complain to someone else about that bug! ;)

And yeah qzjul that's funny because the last time I tried to make a gmail account I remember running into problems with the captcha! I can't wait till the day that we use biometrics instead of stupid captchas, I know it's only like 5 seconds when I have to fill one out but ohhhh it bothers me so!
