LaF doesn't treat you differently just because you are a solo player.

and you can't just look at news to see what's going on with other alliances.. some of those countries sent nukes as retals (not acceptable to us), some used dec war (not acceptable), some used harmful spy ops (not acceptable). some are actually RoRs from the other side, and not from us.

it's pretty straight forward, you do your retals and we have our policy of not retaling the retals (which buys you some grace period from LaF from being grabbed).

and i can't believe i'm saying this but a very noble move by SOL. i had the same thoughts about NA, how it is unfortunate that we might lose another alliance in this game. it's refreshing to see someone doing something about it.

as well as defender's land. instead of purely on defender's land put the attackers land into equation.

it's pretty dumb theoretically if a 100A country can grab 4k acres in one shot. it doesn't really make any sense for someone to grow exponentially taht crazy. there should be a cap on how much you can gain... maybe no more than 10% of your own total land

that would sound kind of fun, and it would be hilarious if they forced two people who hated each other be on the same side ;P

maybe we should all do it one reset just to ease all the cross tensions since we would end up working with each other with people who we usually hate and we'd either realize why we hate them so much, or see that they aren't so bad after all ;P

honestly i rather war most of the time and put in solid netting alliances where you can get good land since you back your words up.

maybe i should be playing in SoF instead ;P

they took the busiest work weeks that i'm getting in recent memory to really add the load to LaF's head FR :P

i apologize in advance, but i'm trying to work the rounds and talk to people.

but i don't think LaF enjoys getting mocked for not running all-x as good as evo. i am the first to admit that evo runs all-x better because LaFfers (as you have noticed) do not like hitting that explore button, but the SS/PS button instead.

i disagree with the systematic farming and i don't think it is good though, because it obviously makes people not happy.

and i want to work with everyone to find the balance between acceptable land exchanges where everyone is happy.

i blame myself for having a high workload making it hard for me to iron everything out before it got out of hand (i was really babysitting the news last reset and beginning of this reset until the RL work load really overwhelmed me recently). and for that i apologize. i promise after we figure it out, we can find the happy medium where everyone can gain acres off ghost acres (which is the new trend right?) instead of exploring all day or farming the same 5 untags who are in range.

a few things tho: we did not intiate grabs to some of the alliances here. and i do find it refreshing that the smallest of the bunch (WoF) is the one that enjoys it the most. maybe they see it as an exciting way other than exploring and just farming helpless untags to gain land.

i'm personally old school though, i don't like the idea of land trading. but everyone seems to be going that direction, and i'm not one to fight against the grain, i'm merely here to make sure it is done in a civil manner where everyone feels happy for the betterment of the server.

with that said, try to find enshula since he is the Don, and he is fervent about landtrading and getting it to work correctly where everyone is happy (and he's a very neutral and fair Don as well as very very pure mathetimatical, so he will probably find a way to make it work for everyone), and he has more time recently that i do =)

P.S. i talked to the members who did the grabs, but the gist i got was if your alliance grabbed us first unprovoked, they took it as you guys wanting to land exchange. i did reprimand them for going a little bit overboard, but if land exchanging with LaF was frowned upon, don't give them the idea by grabbing them first.

i know enshula was talking about some "opt in/opt out" list of landtrading, so only the people who want to landtrade would get/recieve hits. i find it quite civil and fair, and i really suggest you guys talking to him so you guys can iron that out and try some new method that i think will make everyone happy (since you could always opt out) he even had a pretty open idea of setting a limit per hits per countries of the ones that opted in so no one got farmed too hard past his enjoyment, etc. etc. like i said he is really into landtrading and is trying very hard to make it fair/fun for all.

but its too strange for my old school blood, so i'm going to leave it to him to work it out with you guys ;P

Retal-Related Policies to Unpacted Alliances

1:1 Retal Policy. LaF practices a 1:1 (1 to 1) SS/PS escalating retal policy. If you are hit once by a landgrab, you are allowed to retal once with a landgrab. Each landgrab beyond the first made by the country within a 24 hour period will be retalled cumulatively with 2 retals, 3 retals, and so forth. This means an overall of 1:1, 3:2, 6:3, 10:4 and so on. LaF only accepts SS/PSes as retals.

Non-landgrab Retals. Attacks made on LaF countries that are not Landgrabs (AB, GS, CM, NM, EM) can be retalled at the rate of 2:1 each. Harmful Spyops can also be retalled at 2:1 each, but proof of such harmful spyops performed must be provided. With pacted countries, this is usually increased to 3:1 retals per offensive spyop, but again, this depends on the pact details with that alliance.

Enemy Listing. In the event a country has dealt LaF too much damage in an extremely short amount of time, it will be placed on the enemy list instead (Kill, Cripple, Farm or Retal).

Topfeeds. A topfeed is defined as a landgrab more than 400A in which the retaliation attack will obtain less than 80% of the lost land back. For example, if X attacks Y and Y loses 1000a, if X is retalled and loses less than 800A, the attack by X is considered to be a topfeed, and is eligible to be retalled land:land (land to land) until at least 80% of the land is recovered, exclusive of buildings.

Overretals. If a clan has X amount of retals to be done on country Y, any attack from any country in that clan on country Y beyond X retals is considered an overretal if the following 2 conditions are satisfied: A) is done within 24 hours of the last authed retal; B) is within 72 hours of the initial hits causing the X retals to be authed. Overretals can be retalled at a rate of 2:1.

Retal-on-Retals. If clanX has X amount of retals to be done on country Y in clanY, and supposing some countries from clanX has taken the retals, any attack made on these countries that have retalled on country Y by anybody in clan Y within 24 hours of their retal is considered to be a retal-on-retal. Retal-on-retals can be retalled at a rate of 2:1.

48 Hour Retal Policy. Regardless of the number of valid retals, all retals are required to be performed within 48 hours (2 days) of the initial attack made by the opposite party.
