If I go well out of toronto into the wilderness area, the ground I'm standing on how deep do I go to find the surface from 20, 000 years ago?

20K years ago the surface would have been on a glacier 3,000 feet above your head. The glacial till in the highlands around T-town are between 100-300 ft thick, honestly it depends on topography - the further you are from a stream or river that has eroded the till the thicker it will be - if your on high ground the till is thicker. Of course, the glaciation cycles were kicking well before the pleistocene so even the younger tills of the last 20K years are sitting on older till in most areas.
