The best Genesis songs are from the early 70's with Peter Gabriel. I went to school in Guildford, Surrey in the early 70's. Genesis was originally formed by students at Charterhouse school in Godalming, just down the road. I had some friends that went to school there. I've always been a Genesis fan but the songs you guys have put on here were after Phil Collins took over and they went completely commercial.

I think my favorite is "Supper's Ready" from the album Foxtrot, 1972.

Yep, that's a good one. Phil Collins has done some great songs, its true. I have always felt that Phil sort of took the Prog Rock reputation of the original Genesis and created a huge number of meaningless, overplayed pop songs, and I grew quite tired of him in the 80's. But he has a few very good tunes. Because he was played everywhere I have memories associated with many of his songs even though many would otherwise be pretty forgettable.
