weapons generate, IE: tanks, turrets ect... generate cost. oil = no costs. and dude look at the fine print it was 25 000 000 at 250 I had 70 million barrels today, now I have 18 million left @ 250. the rest is higher so anybody wanting to war will pay my prices.

There's nothing wrong with controlling the oil market. God knows I used to do it enough back in the day, but unless this dude is looking to reduce cyber greenhouse gas emissions or something, jacking the price of oil during wars is about as great an idea as screen doors in submarines.

I'm still trying to figure out why in God's name you'd want to stop multiple wars dead in their tracks by selling oil for way more than you have to in order to profit from it.

Especially in the case of two roughly equal clans getting it on. You can make SOME money in a day or two selling ridiculously price oil or make a LOT of money for weeks selling weapons.

The market was thin to begin with. With as few players as the server has, it doesn't take but a couple wars to thin the market out even more.

While that's great in a way, if some moron comes along and turns a two week war into a 36 hour fight all for the sake of ten lousy billion dollars, things get upset on an epic scale.

I can promise that in the next 5 weeks, even my Rep Cashers are gonna punk Oil Boy's genius scheme to dominate NW.

Someone should inform him that you don't buy out oil early to "control the market" especially when it's your 16 countries against the whole server.

In fact, what he's done is to open the door for oilers (and other cashers) to eat him for lunch because he can't keep buying out the market and reselling at his price.

But let me ask you. If you have 2 clans at war who compromise 10% of the total countries on the server, and oil and weapons prices spike, and tech prices dive, how are they making money to sustain enough revenue to feed themselves. buy weapons, and still fight for more than a few days?

traditionally in wars you sell your tech stockpile to maintain spending above income for a short period of time

since at some point selling off 50k weapons to buy 1m jets is better than having an extra 10% effectiveness on 0 jets

seeing as im in neither clan and im profiting from the war still maintaining my stockpile. well.

* also i said my average price per barrel was around 60 as I stocked up right in the beggining of the set when people were selling for 25.

there wasn't enough on the market to make your average price around 60... stuff only sold under 60 for like a week or two... and if you bought all the fluff from 90-150 i'm pretty sure you would of both a ton more then you could of in the beginning of the set but if that number makes you feel warm and fuzzy i will go with it!
