Some MDers are looking to start up an Earth Fantasy Football league if there is any interest. Was thinking 12 teams, mostly standard scoring, with a $50 - $100 entry fee and 100% payout.

We can iron out the details once we determine if enough people are interested.

What website? Any fees for waiver transfers? How would the entry fees be collected?

Post some more details and I might be interested.

I was thinking Yahoo or ESPN for the site, no fees for waiver transfers, fees collected and stored via LeagueSafe.

But once we know who is interested, we could potentially change some details if the league votes on it.

We did a free one last year and half the league flaked once the season started because they had no reason to take it seriously.

$50 seems to be what most people are leaning towards, so let's set it at that.

Yeah, we are talking about the NFL.

I also just did some checking on Leaguesafe for those of us outside the US, sine neither Kalick and I knew if it works for "internationals"

the tl;dr is that people outside the US can use the service, but the only way to put money in is to use a credit card and the only way to get money out is via a paper cheque, which has a small processing fee.

Not a big deal to me, and still has me signed up for the league.

It looks like we're close to getting the number of teams I wanted, so I went ahead and setup the league on Yahoo.

If you are interested in joining the league, send me a forum message with your e-mail and I will send you an invite. The entry fee will be $50, stored via LeagueSafe.

I set it up as a .5 PPR league with the following positions:
QB
WR
WR
RB
RB
TE
W/R/T
K
D/ST

All scoring/roster is still subject to change and we can make it whatever the league decides is best.

And we do still need a few more players, so Bigwiggle if you could convince your friend, that would be great.

I logged in and created a team. I'll post comments in-site and will try to keep checking on this thread as well. This should be fun!

The season is over, and we have a champion!

Congratulations to Bigwiggle dont text on winning the championship. His team left it all on the field this Sunday, scoring the highest point total of the season with an impressive 176.30 points. His team also had the most points scored throughout the regular season with 1575.06. He is clearly the deserving champion.
