Besides The idiot experts can only get it right by it going over Cuba. Never go by the very first time the 5 day cone has it hitting the gulf coast area of the US, because 99% of the time it will hit to the east or west of that cone.

On my way down to Pensacola friday night tho they were already sending out the power trucks east bound on I10 lol. must of been a line at least a mile long.

Tornadoes are worse if you ask me. At lease with a Hurricane you know its coming days in advance. With a tornado they just pop up and can catch you off guard, esp if its night time.

Confirmed, move New Orleans to higher ground or make it a floating city. Idiot mayor couldn't even be bothered to have the school buses evacuate people for Katrina (and lost both the buses and the people as a result), or take advantage of free evacuation help when a railroad company offered to take people out of the city on a train they did move out of the city, or project clear and helpful information to people after the storm hit. Idiot governor at the time couldn't be bothered to call the federal government up and invite them in to help with the disaster...this lead to the now expired Louisiana Dumb*** Law (as I referred to it).

Is it any wonder the people don't want to help New Orleans to rebuild...we don't want New Orleans rebuilt period. Why help that kind of stupidity to put people in harms way again when they won't take the necessary steps to preserve life (first and foremost), government property (especially the property that can be used to preserve life), and when they see any disaster as an opportunity to shoot people without consequences (among other assorted crimes, even when you discount people taking food and other survival supplies as not being crimes per se).

The French Quarter survived unscathed, if thats not a life lesson, what is?
