i actually want to try netting next set...... LORDs will most likley try to net....anysuggestions for start?

Well I always tech start and if tech is high stay techer, get your land to 30/35k by 1800 turns then stock to 2750

I'd say 8/10 times at least when i play farmer i find them very strong although its a rush to get the land quick ennough

a very good netter once told me. dont go tech start it only wastes ur time getting land and stocking. cause u have to convert.. buy ur techs

its a catch 22 between getting land which is the most important part and having the resource to grab repeatedly

ive found in this server in particular that when going straight to grabbing its next to impossibile to be a strong grabber and max techs until around 1500 turns by which time i would normally have a little stock,
i also find that i dont buy up as much weapons, milt strat, or ent/res as when i tech start due to sheer cost

i would say though the last time i went straight farmer no tech start i was on track for a 500m bushel stock before i got suicided which messed me up and would have had me around 80m
for the 2nd place this set i jumped of 340m bushels having gone tech start and my best was 66m of a tech start
