Anyone have and advice/thoughts on running an Oiler strat? I've been tempted to try it in the past and have half heartedly given it a shot with mixed results.

Oilers can produce mucho oil easily enough that it's hard to run a big 100% oiler without flooding the market. You'd need there to be very few other oil producers out there. Also, it's hard to destock because the oil market usually crashes toward the end and the private market sale price isn't so hot... It's probably very rare for it not to be better to make more farms than oil rigs.

sell oil..
use oil..to attck with military u bought from oil sales..
(repeat) till end of set

also sell oil in batches to allow market to appear organic

That's the fluffer screwing the oil market last couple sets.....*shakes fist*

on express selling oil on private market will provide the fastest start. when you can sell on public you should start building farms and buying aggri tech. A pure oiler can't match other strats unless oil is >160 for ether whole set. you want to hedge your bet with farms.

Selling food on private is better.

It's better to sell oil on public.

Farms then, don't build rigs til you have 500 farms, IMO.
