If you played in TIE, you probably played under me at some point. I went by Hemingway, and led TIE on this server for most of its existence. I dunno if you played with us during the later time, but Angryjesus and Bigwiggle were part of TIE for awhile as well.

We were probably a lot of the core of TIE at the end (with Zeratul, Elle Earth Angel and Sublime being the early core). WE're all playing together in PANLV right now. If you're interested in netting, you should join up with us. :)

On the forums, I was Hemingway, or before that Lord Matthew (back when I was buying into the whole "ruling your own country" thing).

Zeratul and Elle haven't played for a long time as far as I can tell. I thought I heard a rumor that Elle might have come back and played a set or two in EE early on, but I could be wrong. Zeratul and I left the alliance we were in together along with Elle and Sublime to make TIE FFA and that was about the exact time that Zeratul was getting more into game design than actually playing games, so I'm not sure Zeratul ever actually finished more than maybe 2 sets actually playing countries in TIE.

I do remember playing one giant tournament with you guys. I was never nearly as good at poker as DG, and I only played with you in that one tourney, but I had a really awesome run and finished like 21st out of like 500. I bought into a bunch of other cheap big tournaments thinking that I was just that good and never again finished in the money. :P

Zeratul works for Blizzard North, I remember the bastid telling me back in 2003 not to hold my breath for Diablo III :P

Ah. I played in TIE 1a as well, so that must be where I'm remembering it from. I wasn't a leader there though.

Just as a general rule, I think it's nice when people actually do this (assuming of course people don't lie to try to drive out competition for recruits).

Saves people time from actively recruiting someone who's already in someone's site and tagged up.

I only remember you as Lord Matthew and StratMatt.

But I didn't spend to much time in FFA, I thought FFA was scum at that time. I was only playing FFA to try and get recruits for 1A.
