The warmonger challenge ends with victory going to team Sparta. Both sides now have a CF in effect.

There were a lot of good efforts on both sides and while the first couple days of war were very even in both numbers and networth team Sparta began to pull ahead after that with a bit better war room participation and walling.

Rome went into the war with one extra country making it 19 vs 18 but several of the Rome countries came from Sof and went into the war already drained from fighting Stones. There were also inactive countries on both sides.

There were a lot of mistakes going into this. We needed to have tags figured out much earlier. We needed to have a FS time set from the beginning. We needed to have a mechanism for missing members or to re-balance teams. We needed to have more specific rules setup, make sure both sides had warmods in advance, and I'm sure there are plenty more things that could be added to this list.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone on both sides for participating as I think there were fun moments had for both groups and we certainly learned a lot about how to make this work if we ever do try it again.

Good fun guys, I enjoyed my participation despite not attending warchats due technological disabilities, but had a blast texting back n forth with my boy AzN :-)

i only saw 3 countries over 20k when it started i think

from what i remember no one even had as much land as an allx did

Walling on phones is awful

Both sides had less stock than I was expecting with quite a few members not really having any. I'm not sure how the sides compared overall though.

After the FS the NWs were nearly even for both sides during the first couple days of war with Sparta having a small lead in land. Leading the chats for Sparta I pretty actively hunted stock or high production countries until there were only a few left with stock that I couldn't find safe times to hit.

Not knowing when the war would start kinda sucked for planning what strat to run. I thought it would be much earlier and ended up with a crappy strat cause of that...

I was able to..just barely. Thanks to rest of Sparta for blowing my phone up.

Wish my build turned out a bit better for the start of the war, was lacking food stock after the FS. Easy to say on the wining side, but despite having things run smoother as Dragon outlined above, it was a good fun. It has been a while since I had to resort to pimping my country out that hard to keep hitting at a decent amount in terms of volume and troop count.

I believe the comment in the war room was "might as well kill Boltar and his 55 missiles."

Don't feel bad, I went down 1st for Sparta with 35 chems and over 20m bushels on market, AzN almost saved me with his text, but by the time I logged in few seconds later i had just under 200 civis, one second later DEAD LOL

maybe there could be a server set up strictly for a mass war, each person who enters the server automatically gets assigned to a team, and all hits are locked out until a certain day of the set. It would be random teams every set but there would be a lot of fun to be had. Maybe the first 2 people to sign up would be like team leaders or w/e and set up the warroom and have control of messaging entire team for the warroom etc....just an idea

poll could determine draft leaders of a war server. cannot lead more than once in a year or something give everyone a shot at it. countries must be created by day 5 of the set. no new countries aside from restarts. draft leaders draft everyone by 7th day of set by a rounded value of country NW/land to nearest 250k NW and player profile/name. that way anyone that created country and never played it for a week could get filtered out at least from being near the top of the draft order, and draft leaders wouldn't just know every player an their country. I think a lot of people here might like a war only server :D

and you could set the turns at twice the current rate for alliance server.make it a 4 week set and no attacks could be made before day 8
