the problem with all of this fake mags, is that if you are hit much more you will start being worn down. After another 10 or so hits it's likely that the repubs and commies at the top will be able to bottomfeed you. Or with all these hit trades you will find someone who wants to war you(see tits v bobby)

that is, unless food hits 60.

What a set it so far had favourable prices for everyone. Well I guess not for oilers but the rest so far have enjoyed prices to some degree at some point.

so was the perceived lack of targets for top C/I due to fewer players this reset or the market conditions leading to higher NWs->higher NW/4 cutoff. What do people think?

The only way to make all those retals is to have low def/lots of jets. I was just about to buy up on turrets again. But it does wear you down.. all the costs of building, jets lost etc. So now I'm getting hit more. People simply won't leave you alone if have low def even if you retal them.

Can NOT fall behind less than 1/2nw of top country. That's my lesson learned lol. Doesn't matter if you can retal or your tech levels suffer a bit.

So he gained 700 acres. He could get that many off any old grab, just check his own country history:

^ Look, these three hits were in the same day, so that day he gained 1826 acres.

^ 716 acres, more land in that grab than he got in the land trade.

And those hits didn't lose 2200 built acres, it's doubtful those hits needed as many jets/oil, those hits didn't cause him to lose a bunch of turrets. It's very unlikely for a land trade to be as efficient as a grab, and all LoL did was force NGC 224 to share in that poor decision and inefficiency.

I actually just took a peek at NGC, and i would probably get a good chunk of land, but by him retaling (wich he will) it will only be a lost grab IMO.

I want to point out that due to events on Alliance server, qzjul has released a "beta" view of country news of countries in past resets.

For example, this was my country last reset:

Only works on players with public profiles though. So now you can see who has been leeching and whatnot, and be publicly ridiculed (until I get qzjul to change it so all countries are viewable after hiding the owner's name at the top if privacy is enabled).

Someone did "last second" harmful ops on qzjul's country, causing his country to lose 20m NW (the reset just ended a few hours ago). qzjul checked who did it (admin only news, since none of the harmful ops failed), and informed Tellarion (FA for Evo) the country # that did it.

Tellarion already knows who owned that country # though, due to FA dealings, so it is considered abuse of admin powers.

I suggested that harmful ops could be disabled in the last 6 hours, and that if country news and tag admin news is available after the reset ends publicly, it wouldn't be that much of an issue. (Though, the fact that no harmful ops failed on qzjul, an admin-only piece of information was given to Tellarion).

oh.. well if it's a one-time thing I don't see why everyone else's news log has to be public after the set ends. I think sites like eestats already give away enough free information as it is, not sure I'd want even more information, such as play style/strats, to be free for others to see.

i ALWAYS get harmful ops crashing my nw in the last few hours of the set in express, every set i play, without fail. instead of this i would fully support disabling harmful ops in the last X hours of the set... i'd suggest going as far as every 12 hours in normal servers, 6 in express perhaps.

i don't support making country news public like that as it gives aways strategic, legal and private information.

Well it doesn't really matter much to me whether my "strategic, legal, private information" (regarding my playstyle) is revealed, I already freely help players who ask me for help.

I do support transparency of countries in making sure the playing environment is as fair as possible.

Spy tech is kewW. it keeps down your expenses as well as improves your spy network. it also lets you run more of your primary buildings and less indies

Spy-Tech Increases the chance your operatives will successfully execute and/or thwart enemy spy missions.

For someone that needs 1.2M spies if I buy up to 110% spy tech that will save me 109K spies per turn at about $1/turn in expenses.

I would need around 57,000 pts for 110%. So it will pay for itself in about 1000 turns or so.

As a Indy I have better uses for my money. I can't think of many situations (even techers) where it is the best place to put your money.

There's way more than 1000 turns left, and think of it for a casher, which is what Rob and Xinhuan are/were, you can have 10% fewer industries which means more bus and res which multiplies up your income as well as decreases your expenses.

Also another good time to get spy tech is when you're caught in one of those spy destructive spirals, where your SPAL isn't good, so you fail more ops, so your SPAL gets worse. You can't go to the market and buy spies, but you can buy spy tech and boost your SPAL 10% just like that. Alternatively you could grab a commie but then that's just more land with industries on it that could have bus/res.

Oh, I assumed Listen to What Xinhuan says was a farmer when I named him heh. I never looked at the country though. If Awesome 2013 is the biggest farmer then yeah that's the one I'd be interested to see where he ends up.
