On this server as an Indy it’s better to put all your money towards grabbing, building, and technologies. If you have money left over then your not grabbing enough land or buying enough tech.
Even in the last 1-2 weeks if you’re done grabbing or out of viable targets, usually food is too costly to stockpile until the last few days. And that’s usually when military prices go back up too.
-You take a 10% hit selling cheap units
-you take a 10% hit buying expensive food
-you take a 10% hit destocking food for way cheaper than you bought it, or have to use private. Either way it’s a double loss.
Not to mention you’ve probably farmed the entire server, so you can’t let yourself fall into retaliation range. So many factors to monitor.
