I like that food is already getting cheap and military is not

We have four huge commies but none of us are dropping our pants on price

so many questionable grabs and big retals help keep the military prices up as well

It's been declining for 24+ hours, I was keeping batches above 55 but kept getting undercut, got down to 48 last night and I got pissed and dumped 50m @ $42 now I logged in and there's 20m @ $40 🙇

In my experience, whenever KoH goes farmer, the market is terrible =P

Andrew - I can relate, my largest land country on primary was a farmer with a similarly poor bushel peak, and it's very deflating when everything else worked out so well for you (with a lot of hard effort on your part) =/

It would be best if you played the same strat every set and eventually the stars will align. If you keep jumping back and forth you lower your chances of catching the right conditions for the given set.

There are only 3 strats that can win (of course many nuances within strats). Of the 3, farmer is probably the most market dependent during the growth phase and Casher is probably least market dependent. Indy is probably easiest but is most capped in terms of upward potential. Of course once a farmer begins stocking it doesn't really matter what the prices are because they are only selling to cover turn expenses. My win last set was more to do with stars aligning and the right competitive environment then it was due to good play or good market conditions. So I would think that choosing 1 strategy each time wouldn't improve the odds all that much.

It may be interesting to reverse engineer what market conditions would be required for a techer to win. My guess is $2500+ tech during the 2nd month and food prices under $40 to stock, but I haven't done any math and am not a qualified techer expert.

Indy I would say is more market-dependent, with a farmer you can PM food if you have to. Not that is necessary for primary but on other servers it happens. If an indy has to PM turrets to survive its $/acre is terrible comparatively.

I think it's fairly even between indy or casher, and each have a good change to win depending on the play of the individual

farmer I think is more market dependent, and I've never seen a techer win

I have close to 4 million tech points

I sold too many turrets and took a retal but I bought up bus/res and I’ve got all the tech I need now for the rest of the round

When I play techer I sell everything possible every day, stock food, especially if you're a Theo, then you can sell food when it gets really high and stock cash, take your retals and keep growing 🤷

I’ve never played a techer and I don’t think I will now, I was gonna pay it this round but I messed up picking my gov

I do like the tech start with Casher or Indy tho

I also think KoH is used to a much busier server. There is always way more techer supply than demand these days, so it's hard to keep selling - even with the most competitive price, there may not be anyone who wants it. In the old days, you could sell 2-3 times a day on most servers, but now there are entire dead periods on the market. Also, selling for $500 autobuy is of course ridiculous. It'd be better to just keep it since the NW is cheaper and with no maintenance costs compared to buying bushels at a loss or carrying extra military (not that KoH was implying that, just saying it was the worst case value).
