I don't know why this is an issue.

It's a clear case of a player that has far too little defense for the amount of land they run, and said player getting upset when someone takes advantage of that fact.

It's one landgrab. Get the fluff over it.

Allow me to preface this by saying that Crest23 is basing this off of something that happened to me in Express. It's irritating, but I'm not terribly upset.

That said, I do feel that GDI protections could be tweaked to better provide protection for netgainers while still leaving plenty of room for decisions to be made about the necessity of such protection.

It is really easy to game GDI, and force a netgaining player into a situation where they either cannot retal hits against them for fear of being suicided on, or force them to forsake their netgaining by necessitating a preemptive suicide. That isn't right.

I understand some people think this is a war game, but what exactly is the point of GDI if it is so easily circumvented, or even turned into a liability?



Country B hits me for 500 A, and generates one GDI authorized counterattack.

COuntry A (me) retals. The counterattack charge is consumed regardless of DH or success.

Let's suppose I DH the first retal, but I am insistent upon getting my land back. Or perhaps it was a topfeed, and I want to try to enforce a L:L policy- I retal again, and forsake my GDI protection.

Alloting a GDI protected country one counterattack per attack against them is both fair and reasonable. A player should not have to be forced to part with their land, or preemptively suicide because someone is trying to game the GDI protection.

Then, what is it I get in my inbox, messages directly lamenting my reset, how unfortunate I was, and the fact it was all because I grabbed MD members. Did you mention anything about "I just meant retals, bro!" until you were called out here? No. You just made a comment about how unfortunate my reset was going to be, and capped it off with the weight of the MD tag.

When it gets brought up in response to another poster's comment about possible rules violations and unsportsman-like play, you immediately on the attack with logically inconsistent, poorly considered arguments and spin, never account for one, simple fact that is the entire point. Instead, you attack me and anyone you disagree with, choosing lulzworthy leaps of 'logic' over anything approaching rational.

But, what was that point I mentioned, the one that has been repeated several times, and you can't get through yout thick skull? Oh, yeah.

MD countries are found in 1a. Express is an individual server. There are no 'MD countries', just players suggesting an off server affiliation means something in express.

You're absolutely right. My target selection has nothing to do with the fact that several targets were rather fat for the amount of defense they were carrying. Instead I decided to place inspector freaking gadget and hunt down MD members. You caught me.

My accusations of collusion had nothing to do with the message you sent me telling me how profoundly unlucky I was to have crossed Moral Decay, and lamenting the end of my reset. Newsflash, pal.

You brought your 1a tag into this. You used it as an indirect threat, and only started changing your tune when you got called on collusion. If you want to take your retals, take your retals.

Otherwise, keep MD in alliance where it belongs, stop sending me emo /wrists ingame messages, and play the damn game. If you don't want people to think you're being shady, you guys should probably stop getting deleted, and waving your MD epeens every time someone grabs you on another server.

Countries in an individual server shouldn't be using their alliance server affiliations as a threat, nor should they imply that their alliance server affliations have any bearing on individual server play if they don't want to be at risk of potential rules violation.
