Hi Kat and our MD/SoL rivals and compadres,

I and other SoF'ers have already given you kudo's for the win. I understand we were out numbered and outplayed. I noticed many of your countries emulated us as far as spal was concerned this reset (which I consider a complement). It is a new era in the game when 35 second kills are considered too long.
I have fought many times in SoF and can tell you unequivocally last resets war was our worst performance and most lackluster activity I've personally seen.
Our countries would have been "sustainable" if we had been more active, organized, walled better, etc.
Believe it or not, one man can make a difference. Our leadership had to step up due to the absence many times of the best WCL in the game. They did a great job, but had big shoes to fill.
We relied on leaders (and members, even newley back to the game) leading chats. They got us some great kills and kept us close to you in the tag kill race.
I apologize for not giving you a better run for your money. It was at times chaotic, senseless and laughable in our war room. But when we did pull ourselves together for a successful crucial kill, we were ecstatic, not because we got the kill, but because we got the kill with the limited turns and braking power in the room at that moment (again, lack of activity).
Bottom line, is you were online more to wall, so died less than we wanted. You had more originals, ergo we killed more originals before you did. No one can say our country strategy being dict/spy strategy "did us in". All we needed was more active members as we have had in past wars (including myself).

Congratulations once again on a war well fought. You beat us fair and square due to better ACTIVITY, more striking turns and a crucial leader of SoF who was able to wall you to the end, but was unavailable to lead for much of the war.
I have thanked the Leaders and Members who stepped up privately, but would now like to thank them publicly.
They know who you are.

This may be the video that broke me. Thousands of edits... about 100 hrs.
I even left a Killrun for it, because I had to finish it, and finally at 0130 hours
it's done. Sometimes we get lucky and can have minimal edits, this required
thousands, not for the audience, but for ourselves.

This is something we have been working on diligently. First feedback we use to receive was, "I can't hear the words", "I don't understand what your saying", etc.. So we have consistently pumped up vocals or lowered music. Chas's reply to this is always, "You can't understand vocals for most songs. I have listened to a song for years and when I one day look at the lyrics, it's not what I thought it was at all". More a believer of -If you like the feel of the song-
I on the other hand am always pushing to raise vocals being able to understand each word.

FlameHead is my oldest, he was about 14-16 at that time. He retired so I recruited Scuzzobutt, my yougest. I use to pay him $5 a week to play his turns. When he attacked he would just back attack with no regard to the break or readiness, just hit as quick as he could so he could get away from the game :p.

I write songs and at times after a first draft and listen, I or my partner may notice it is similar to something. It's easy to change it up. I'm writing one now which sounded like Atlantis by Donovan to me and Ride Captain Ride by Blues Image to my co-writer.. after a bunch of tinkering melody/phrasing wise, I can't even imagine it to sound like either of them, although the chord structure is the same.

I wrote a lead lick in the 70's (which I have used in many forgotten songs I wrote) It just seems to be able to go with a lot of chords. I'm driving in my car listening to the radio in '87 and I HEAR MY fluffEN LICK BEING PLAYED BY R. E. M.! Cept at the end they go down in the melody from the eleventh note and shortened it up by four notes. The One I Love.

Many times if I had writers block, I would read the chords to a big hit song classic, use their exact chords and then just speed it up, change the melody and BINGO! Another song. Yes it's recorded produced and mixed on a broken laptop using a $75 program (Mixcraft) BUT,
random listeners do not know or care about that. It is what it is. Also we are songwriters not singers/
performers in any form or fashion but again a listener just hears what we perform so songs must be recorded to the best of our ability for it to be heard by others and to have them perform it! (those from the old EEVIL days may remember American Avenger as a player, I play with him... I mean we perform with each other... no wait.. umm.. we co-write and produce as a team!) *wipes brow
And it's a better hobby than .. let's say smoke crack? :-p
I could be doing some other really stupid fluff on my down time, then again, I do run all my turns playing here
