I know you're a pretty good player jj, but i think you need to know that before coming out with "i'm gonna get you, X" you should really stock turns and as a techer dump stock to build up a cash pile, then make your threat and follow through within minutes.

All you've done is tell roksilver that you're going to get him which allows him to stock turns, build defences or make a pre-emptive strike on you. Not good warring strategy.

Just seeing your nw drops over the past 3 days you've probably had salwa somewhere in the region of $1.8b tech. What with expenses and food i reckon you could be sitting on cash of around $1.5b.

Blid's point, since you do not seem to have noticed is that there is not alternating hits between #32 and #67 - ie #32 hits, #67 hits, #32 hits, #67 gits, etc... it is #32 then #67.

The same can be seen with your attacks on #222. This does not neceaaarily mean one or more person is running 2 or more cointries but it is indicative that it may be happebing.

When coupled with the number of occurances when you were on at the same time (that is, on within 5 minutes of each other) is an even brighter jndication that there and looks highly suspicious.

I'm guessing that the game mods will check you out and ensure your ip addresses do not match, in which case you're probably in the clear and our (my) suspicions will be eased.

Gdi also reduces the size of a grab by 10% so you should be happier that us "big guys" use it.

I recommend a bit of reselling with jets, turrets and tanks as the market is, at times (certainly when i'm on) quite shallow

It's more efficient that way rather than midfeeding when i don't really neeed to. If i was teching, it'd be different and i'd midfeed.

I also take note of who runs a clean strat and appears to know how to play. If they have high spies, i'm more likely to leave them alone. Same with high mil strat and weapons. It's one reason why i've not touched fat boy jack.

If the owner of that country is teching and didn't have the time to adequately play his country then my advice would have been to not take turns except to sell tech then buy def in order to deter possible attacks.

I know it's not optimal, but neither is being hit 7 times in 60 hours, and twice by a single country alone.

That way, after returning from holiday the owner of that country would have had 86(10) turns which would have been wisely used in teching weapons and military strat for about 30 before making retals that hurt his attackers. Wouldn't help that oil has gone up quite a bit in the past few days, but then i think the owner of that country bought quite a bit of oil when it was dirt cheap.

Last set when food was consistently > 50 for weeks i was almost crying and i tried to be clever and made (what i now recognise as) a dumbass move at 40k acres of thinking that i could do better by building mbs instead of residences as i was increasing in size so i had something like 20k ent, 19k res and 10k mb. Stupid stupid stupid!

And as military prices were nice and high i thought i could do a conversion to mbr but of course i didn't have a great stockpile... what a mess.

From memory, rep casher will generate 11-12% more net revenues after food. I figure that a theo cash start is much faster than a rep cash start owing to the building bonus and the pop bonus. I think that by the time i hit 1900 acres i'm in a much stronger position than i would be as a rep. Then i can use that advantage to grab agressively.

Also, the theo private market is a nice insurance for when there is either high public market military prices or zero military on the market. Several times this set i've wanted to make 3-4 PS but only had the jets to make 1-2. With 0 jets on the public market i've still been able to afford to make the grabs i wanted to by buying from my private market. I would have missed out on several grabs if i had a rep private market.

I just hope food stays lower than it was last set.

I'm a bit paranoid about the rep 90% mil strength and i like the lower private market prices a theo has and the building bonus. We'll see how well i can do. I feel it's going ok so far.

If you'tr a farmer then you should have 0 res and 0 ent. Sell bushels to fund your turns. Even at $29 on the private market you will be more efficient and get more cash than if you build ent and res

My guess is that his allies had recently put on considerable def and the attackers underestimated the ally strength. I pretty sure i know who his allies are. I'm pretty sure they just guessed his allies def rather than spy them.

Oh dear. I'm thinking he's not been schooled on grabbing in primary. And i don't think he realises that landtrading isn't a great way of expanding either.

I'd say $12m to 99.99% guarantee a place and from $9-10m to have a good chance based on past 5-6 resets.

There's been some sets when one of games b or c having $11+m for all of top 10. Since the top 10/11 get through i'd say you have to aim for that.

Now this was a grab that wasn't worth it.
