leaders please tell your members that they need to send a retal message if it is a retal and it is always best to include the news for what it was for.

i am trying to avoid any mistakes and save all of us problems. That is how RoR happen a lot. Any hits on me - odin that does not have a retal message is going to be retaled as a normal grab.

again i am just trying to avoid issues and have a smooth set for us all.

Heck, in my mind, if you don't send a message, even if it looks like it should be a retal, it's not one.

I'm saying no only because I won't be told how to structure my retal message, if you can't remember what tags you hit, that's not my problem lol

lol i didn't mean it had to be that way - that is what i do, but hell even if it is a simple - retal , most can figure it out.

retal messages are great

I like my retal messages to pop up first thing when you log on. They usually begin with "Sorry, your country.."

I always sent retal messages, break or bounce. Less confusion is a good thing.

Thing is, if I grab Clan A and someone from Clan A hits me within 72 hours, I'm fairly certain it's a retal and treat it as such.

It's best to take the 30 seconds required to copy/paste the news ad tell the target it was a retal.

Unless of course, you don't think your clan has to or you're looking for a fight.

Proper etiquette is still to send a retal message and if there could be confusion, to send the news piece or at least country number on whose behalf the retal is being done.

Format it how you want, but I'd say if you fail to send a retal message and get RoR'ed, you have little reason to ask for more than 1:1 (basically considering it a new landgrab).

I usually write "retal", might even go as far as "Retal, have a good set!"

unless the actual country grabbed is doing the retalling I would agree.

AJ: Even in that case, I'd still send a quick message at least saying "retal."

But I'll grant you if the retal is obvious, a full message may not be warranted.
