moron, chances for an all-explore all retal country to get a good finish let alone win is close to 0. they just dont have enough land and the proper turns to finish with enough nw to win.
i'll break it down for you. you can argue with yourself if you disagree. i'm telling you and not asking if its true.
a commy needs roughly 20k land to break 30m, a casher roughly 17k land, a techer 17k, a farmer 17k. these are all with favourable market conditions to the specific strat and reaching the land goals at about turn 1300.
assuming 2k land per retal, for a commy, you'd need to do 7 retals if you start at 7k land. 6 retals if you start at 10k land.
a casher, 4 if you start at 10k land.
a techer, forget it. if you have to take retals to grow, you've already lost.
a farmer, 4 if you start at 10k land.
taking the minimum retals you'd require, you'd have to go virtually defenseless for 8 hours. there are a couple ways to survive this. this is also discounting the fact that you'd have to waste turns at a small landsize to cash therefore getting lesser returns.
1) pure luck because each time a top country is hit, ppl below will look at who hit him. they'll see that you're a lower nett country attacking and breaking someone huge. they'll most probably spy you because they'd guess correctly that you're an all jetter. they'll hit you.
2) do the retals really late into the game like 10-12 hours before the game ends. this will probably mean that you'll have stored turns which you wont be able to use before the set ends.
so really, either way, it just doesnt really work. its really hard for a moron to bluff cause they dont have the brains for it.
