It could probably be set so a player can only sell CURRENT LAND * 0.5...

More for a theo who stocks on 8-9k acres and wants to double or triple their land. They would be able to tech earlier and longer, even with a mid set conversion they would be @ goal acres faster especially if the acres were bought pre-built.

... a 2.5k acre rep rainbow might end up being a powerhouse :)
This would allow a country to sell 2.5K acres per day as an all explore or as an aggressive land grabber.

80 turns * 32 acres --- BPT = 100 approx 105 turns to double land if sold @400k per acre country would make just under 10 mil per turn.

--- these can be bought pre-built from a low acre country cheap.
--- or at least significantly cheaper then cost of military/oil and building those acres out yourself. Not to mention cost of production turns especially techers. 10 turns could cost 100 mil

of course there will still be those who hit and farm other countries and will see this as just an extra avenue to get more land or income. But it should slow down some of the bottom feeding on the servers.

Demo Farmers would definitely benefit from the land sale if they explored or hit all set for more land. Land grabbers sitting on 50K acres could trim their countries to 25-30K and maybe pickup almost $10 bil from selling off 25k acres. Just depends on what those acres are worth.

This would definitely be good for anyone who land grabs for high acres 10 hits a day could bring in an extra billion per day just from land sales.

2500 acres * 400K per acre = $1 bil.

This is almost 50 mil per turn for land grabbers if the return is around 250 acres per 2 turn attack;)

of course if the market gets flooded with land it would drop dramatically so it could create an optimum condition for land grabbers with some really land fat countries ;)

Nice for wars too ... put 5K acres on the market @ 400K and come out with 2 bil in cash to stonewall or buy extra troops with :)

If there are bots then they would need to be easily identifiable and a reason for the bots to be hit vs. an untagged player.

1. the bot should not lose land
2. the bot should not experience DR's
3. the bot should not be hard to break
4. the bot does not attack back
5. there should be a random point where the bot can be captured by an alliance wherein it becomes their own personal land farm for 48-72 hours.
6. make it so the bot returns more land then bottom feeding i.e. 20(20) and a captured bot returns 40(40). This is to give netters and different method or separate target to grind on to get their land.

the challenge above would be to capture the bot for your alliance and get the bonus land. perhaps give the alliance leader a link to tag the bot up when it has been captured ;)

anyone else trying to hit it would get a message stating this country has been captured by Alliance "ABC"

we would not need a lot of bots with the above and it would add a new angle to the game too ;)

anywho missed the last 3 hours of the reset.. and had a little conflict about midway thru ;)

Lincoln, it allows netters to come out the gate with about 450 turns played which is ample time to get a small tech country up and running.

Time to market is also much faster so the land can be protected or recovered faster. The GDI rules make it nice because if peeps play smart then they only have to more or less war when they want to.

The server is actually very well balanced because it limits the hits someone makes unless they are open to warring. In my own opinion probably the most balanced server EE has at the moment ;)

If you want to war then do not join GDI pick a target and hit it multiple times repeat until you find someone willing to kill your country for the over aggressive playing style.

Alternately wait for someone to hit your country more then once and go to war, they basically just agreed to cancel their GDI protection. You are absolutely free to decimate the country to your hearts content if this is what you want to do.

Nothing on the server is stopping anyone from going to war if they really want to ;)

The reason I ask is that regardless of cash on hand i.e. 200 mil or 1 bil it seems to only return about 3 mil max. and not much difference when there is more cash on hand.

Pang the only way i see breaking the cycle is for a third powerhouse alliance or group of alliances to come together. This however is going to be much harder to accomplish, with the various alpha types wanting their way in how things get run.

Basically we do not have enough smaller alliance to merge together to make something like this viable.

As for asking either SoL or SoF to not pact each other even on an every other reset basis. This would go against their own survival instincts, in the sense of: Why should they weaken their own positions to allow others to grow and replace them?

Both alliance had to fight to get to where they are today, and if someone is to take this position away from them they will need to fight for it and want it even more. I simply do not see either alliance willing stepping aside and letting go of something they fought hard for.

What is good for the server is truly irrelevant, very similar to why untags have no basic rights on the alliance server. I can have fun with it all day long, but at its core it is just a fact and realization which needs to be accepted for what it is. It would take someone willing to dedicate a huge amount of their own personal time to reverse this trend in any meaningful way. Even then someone taking on such a project would need to go in knowing there is no guarantee of success, just a potential and a possibility of things falling into place just right.

On a final note Maki, if your own members do not respect your retal policies, why should anyone else??
