Yea they nerfed it right when I got my DH to Act II Inferno that my barb was at. But now I'm just semi afking at work picking up around 100k gold/hour on tower spiders. Figure item runs you rarely get a rare worth AHing might as well do something consistent.

heh contemplating on doing this too. got my first decent rare yday doing mf chest run but its so much effort for whats it worth most of the time..

That wasn't bad too, but you just need like tons of people doing the same run so when you spawn the layout you all invite each other. Makes it like 4-5x more efficient =P

To be honest I didn't read through the whole thread...

But I mean you all care too much about the game and community rules that cannot be game rules. I don't get why the "landtraders" don't just do all landfarms. I'm sure a lot of the people in the alliances don't really care that much and would just switch off sets running landfarms for each other.

Valor only matters for the 1 hour you're mfing a game. Changing skills before required a full new build so you'd think deeply while building and customizing your character (though I believe they changed this in some down the line d2 patch as well?).

So trying out DH now. So much faster and easier than barb. I always thought I was helping out while tanking stuff but after playing DH (and wiz to some degree) I realized they don't even need the tank. Smoke screen and prep lets you stay invincible for like 15+ seconds while doing massive dps.

The fact that most elitemobs are harder then the actual actbosses I find rather disapointing and dull, whats the fun in that...

I hasnt really been able to reach endgame yet still in act 1 inferno, started leveling up a new char instead cause AH prices for infernogear is overpriced at the moment.

I remember D2 vanilla and playing my first sorc and having to think hard about my skill build because there were no synergies. The thought process sort of went out the window a little as there's no differences on stats or skill builds (at least make a respecing fee).

Game is so much worse than D2, for both customization and storyline. I really enjoyed building characters from the start, but all D3 does is make it mostly item dependent (not saying skills aren't important, but you can switch them out in a few seconds).

Been stuck semi farming act1/2 inferno for the last week. Probably will just take a break while waiting for better gear price to drop while people get even better gear.

One thing is that you guys shouldn't be so wound up on gear before you hit 60; you're going to replace it in a few levels usually anyhow.

Oh and I know this sounds bad, but unless it's a large company and more specifically defense based companies most employers aren't going to verify if you have a certain certification or not.

If you actually can BS your way out of it, feel free to put down some certifications if will get you past the first round screening and land you an interview. The interview is where you need to shine - not necessarily resume padding.

Didn't really read the thread that much but-

Really depends what level of job you're trying to get. If it's entry level just get your foot in the door and get some experience and build some more specific skillsets based on where you want to proceed further.

When I was working my employers would constantly pay for my (and my colleagues) certifications as it would increase our overall marketability as a company.

Though tbh I realized everyone either had something on the side, was trying to get something on the side or was getting ready to move out and do something on their own.

yeah lots of people do it, but it's people who need to show off their money to feel good about themselves, and that's about it. i live in dc remember, you can go to basically any club, wait for a table to open, snag it, and then order $6 beers or $10+ mixed drinks all night, ie you can literally have the exact same experience for less than 1/10th the price if you dont have an ego hardon that you want to get stroked off. if my friends did that id say "lol are you kidding" and then never go out to a club with them again.

Eh. I usually spend 300-600/ea when I used to go out every weekend (now I'm focusing on my business so working like 24/7). It's not to show off but it's the norm for nightlife among my friends in LA area. When we go to Vegas it's a little bit more. Everything is relative.

IMO, all those tough mudder, spartan race, etc... are all bs obstacle courses. I find myself standing around in line more than moving. The actual obstacle looks better on picture i guess. It should be called a confidence course. Maybe i just ran too many actual obstacle course that are meant to challenge people for a purpose.

Regardless, it's a game - more that play the more excitement there is =) Who cares what happens as long as it's enjoyable. It's more amusing watching people compare e-peens here rather than comparing alliance e-peens over there though.

If I find some time this set I'm going to try to play again, but with business, d3 in 2 weeks and training for tough mudder in 2 months I'm not sure if I can remember to login

male, greater los angeles area. okcupid doesnt seem to have that great of a selection. i signed up for match and was already kindda going with your eharmony methodolgy...checking out profiles and theres like a couple messages and winks at me now, but im letting them build up before i decide to actually pay and respond to them or send messages out.

tbh im not really looking THAT much on a serious relationship as it takes a lot more time and dedication and its something i don't have too much time for. like i was dating a girl in college a few months back and it was horrible because she was so naggy. this was not really by personality but because she had so much free time. i wouldn't mind a long term serious relationship, but it really depends on compatibility and requires the other person to be a little more mature and understanding. i.e. i think i was texting some girl that i briefly talked to and i wasn't responding immediately and she went nuts on me with like 30 texts in a row saying i didnt care or i didnt believe her. i mean if she just got in a car accident or something serious i might be inclined to respond right away, but i had pressing things that i was working on so i thought they could wait until after work when i had some more free time

then again my experience so far (at least for asian girls)-
~ <24 - just looking mostly to play
~ >25 - starting to look for something serious
~ >28 - start getting desperate and more disgruntled

and braden, no. not unless u renounce alexis bidel

Site breakdown from my very limited knowledge-

Major two-
match (more dating based)
eharmony (more relationship/long term?)

Free two-
okcupid (registered but didn't fill out profile until today started browsing around)
plentyoffish

Amusement-
cougarlife (friend goes on here every few weeks and gets tons of hits lol)

Question is which site to try out? One thing is you have to fish to go fishing to catch something, but might as well start out in the pond with better fish =P Cost isn't a major factor as at this point it's not that much money, but I'm rather not waste money.

Might be the wrong place to ask, but just seeing what everyones' experiences are with doing it. I haven't tried it before, but it does make sense especially as you get past the school stage. Since it's hard to meet random people outside of your circles of friends, might as well try to people elsewhere. Personally I'm extremely busy with my career so I do not really have time to go out to clubs/etc as much as I used to so I'm bored enough to try it now.

Don't have his contacts anymore but if someone can provide me them. If not, pass along the below message.

Just asking if you're still in Shanghai. I'll probably be heading over there next week for 1-2 weeks. Probably should be in Shanghai/Ningbo area for at least 2-4 days visiting some manufacturers. Off to Guangzhou after, but was wondering if you want to meet up around Shanghai for some...KTV or other activities instead of only getting siao long bao =P

Also, if anyone here is in China or is going for the Guangzhou tradeshow let's meet up =)

lol i was joking, didnt even know there was d3jsp.

used to do all those runs back in the day, then i realized d2jsp back then could do all the pindle/etc. runs better and faster than you could by hand and auto stash stuff. also you could run multiple instances of d2 and d2jsp on the same computer. think i would run like 6 at a time on my computer and ebay the items back then (though by the time i had it properly set up market was really slim but it was still good money in college).

and before you bag on the bots. theres absolutely nothing gained but the items in doing hours and hours of runs by hand. i did play d2 hardcore as well. i remember playing on really bad dialup back in the day sometimes. so sad when the last thing you see is some le -> lost connection to server -> dead lvl 95

Wasn't saying he was justified in doing the 2nd hit, but was just saying that it's not like he did it out of nowhere. Nowhere does it say 1:1 retal is fair - but it did look like he was just picking a war after (which sucks :()

Actually it really hasn't. The only one's spouting out that it's negative attention is PDM and TSO people mostly here.

I'm not saying it was justified and I feel bad for the randomly suicided people in PDM (though tbh most people probably don't care that much as at this point everyone's been through that ten dozen times through the years). I have no connections and the only country I'm playing a primary country for 1 minute every other day, but at least it's one way of bringing this issue to the drawing board more.

Yes, it has. I know of many people who have created pro-TSO countries in team now. PP did indeed create new enemies.

Uh...kind of hypocritical to create retaliatory countries to retaliate on cross server retaliation. I really don't think PP or anyone else cares that more TSO countries are being created in team.

Fresh powder is great when you actually can see where you're going without worrying about going off a cliff. I had that issue with snowbird in park city last year. Basically I was worried about just flying off the side so I slowed down to try to figure out where the actual run was. Not a good idea =P

Thanks qzjul...anyone suggestions on specifics?

Also any suggestions on nightlife / clubs etc?
